I choose the 2019 Armada SL over the 2019 Expedition. I rented both for about week, and the Armada was better than the Expedition in everything but cargo room and mpg.
My dad rented a 2020 Infiniti QX80 during late October and earlier November and he didn’t really like it that much and honestly, even though it is an outdated SUV, I like the looks of it and horsepower wise, it didn’t really matter because the looks are so gorgeous regardless of how outdated it is
Your rental level Infiniti is a base that has base options can’t compare to this trim level in either
Great video. I have a 2023 Armada Platnum & absolutely HATE the infotainment system! FYI...to get the map to show full screen & get rid of the split just double push the map voice button by the gear shift.
The sl trim is the easy pick imo. Far superior to a comparable priced Sequoia.
Interesting most reviewers found the steering light, also you didn’t mention the HBMC that only the QX80 has (not available in Armada) most folk consider that a game changer for how different the two vehicles handle - QX can ride corners flat, Armada rolls on the same corner - happy to hear your thoughts
Good point, I would be curious if the Armada has the body control modules that the QX80 has.
My 2013 Y62 Nissan came with HBMC

I drive a QX80 and my wife has the Armada. QX80 hands down.

You found the steering heavy? I just bought an SL (moved up from a Murano) and I found the steering super light lol.
Compared to a Tahoe or Sequoia, it's heavy

Agreed my petite 110lbs wife has the Platinum and loves it, it is an upgraded version of her favorite SUV (desert runner, in the UAE) the Patrol. And she's never complained about heavy steering..

How do those other vehicles feel more modern, turbo V6 is not something new, it is a trend.
The sequoias engine won’t hold up on the level that the armadas will. Newer don’t mean better which I heard you refer the sequoias too. Tundra and sequoia have had nothing but problems since they came out with the turbo v6.
Armada captain chairs optional, Base QX80 captain chairs standard. Armada has no HBMC, the Highest trim of the QX80 has HBMC. A New QX80 for 2024 or 2025? Let's wait and see...
You need the platinum package in the sequioa, not the limited, in order to match the Armada platinum. The limited does not have leather seats, it has softex

Whoever spends that range of money, won't even need to think about saving a few grand. Infiniti is far premium. Car manufacturers know their products better than any customer in the market.

Personally the Armada is better than the Sequoia. The MPG savings is just an illusion so why not get the comfortable and smooth V8?

@@carbuzzcom the old sequoia or the totally new one? When nissan makes a whole new armada then we can compare to new sequoia. The new sequoia interior looks like it was made for teenagers.
The sequoia's lack of headroom in the back (especially the 3rd row) makes it almost unusable. Also, Android owns 70% of the world's smartphone market share and over 40% in the US so no, not everyone uses an iPhone.
Owned both. The Infiniti qx80 sensory is a far better choice than the armada. If money isn’t an option you will prevail with the Infiniti. I honestly am surprised just how far apart both are and I’d never go the Nissan route again.
You are way too harsh on Infiniti and Armada. And the turning here you displayed, you really seemed dramatic. I driven QX80 2020 at that. And it didn't handle how you displayed at all. It was really responsive. It's not as heavy as you stated. And between Armada and QX80, I'd take the QX80 all day long. And the engine comparison you gave, I disagree with your assessment too. 5.6 seems to be better than GM the 5.3 and 6.2 in terms of endurance. Look at all the complaints people have with that engine GM has. With the stop and Go dynamic fuel management system. All the updates they have. Not good for GM. I think people should test drive these vehicles themselves. Everything you discuss here is subjective. People may are may, not agree with you. And people absolutely should consider Infiniti and Armada vehicles. Rather than sequoia or GMC'S are these overpriced Cadillac's, too. Some of those Cadillac are priced at a ridiculous 150,000.
I almost disagreed with everything you stated here. You painted a very dimly lit light on Nissan and Infiniti. Which are priced very reasonable compared to the big three, nowadays. Sorry, I just thought you should know!!!
Nissan engine will last longer than Ford and Chevy
The Armada has zero (0) places to put anything in the front seat/ driver area, such as change, candy, receipts, etc. , if you are using the cup holders. I would not have bought it if I realized that. Even the console is relatively small- too small for an iPad. You can’t use the small cubby where the iPhone charging pad- it will fry your car key, or the credit cards in your wallet. And, the dashboard sure looks nice and smooth, no place to put anything up there either. Disaster!!!

Uh neither is better than one another because neither do not have hands free foot trunk activation so both r a piece of crap simply due to not having hands free foot trunk activation. Simple as that!
