We have an Armada Platinum and absolutely love it. On a recent trip from Texas to Colorado, somewhere in New Mexico I happened to look at the speedometer and I was running 95. It felt like we were doing 60. These things absolutely cruise on the highway. Also, towing capacity is great and they do okay for light off roading. Definitely one of the most underrated Suvs on the road.
@hp-fx9pv I think it was around 17 or so. However we just bought a new 2024 Platinum 4x4 and got 19 on a trip last weekend. Definitely not great but you don't buy them for the mileage. This makes Armada #4 for us. Insane deals currently on 2024's.
We have the 22 Platinum & so far, we love it. Keep in mind we don’t care 2 rat turds about fuel economy, we are a truck couple. I drive a HD for large trailer towing & my better half drives the Ute & tows the boat. We, in fact, like the front seats although it took a bit to get used to them. I don’t however like that my right knee rests on the center council which bugs the crap out of me. I do agree however, that the arm rest could be taller. Build quality is really good & purchase price was outstanding with all incentives. Don’t care much about resale as we are retired & may have it for awhile.
Lasting up to 30 years for sure withing takes easily and care of it. Some truck already 50 years old, aww 1974 Ford 360 motor it better than 351. Fewest that I caught by eyes 1974 sound of 360 it almost like Harley's banging. Yet old but for real. 👍 example truck is lasting longer.
The Nissan Aramda is the Y62 global Nissna Platform. In other countries its called a Patrol and has hydrualic suspension , push button reear locker, extendef fuel tank. It has been decontented a bit for the US because a 90,000 dollar armada would have been unsellable. But in return we in the US we get the most affordable Y62 on the planet.
Strange, I wonder if they're different seats in the US, as mine's like sitting in a lazyboy. It's magnificent and with height and angle adjustment. The angle adjustment makes it feel deeper surprisingly. At least that's for the driver, as I don't think passengers have as many options.
I have to agree about the driver seating position. It feels cramped slightly. Even on the passenger side, it seems like the leg room is limited. That would be my only complaint. Other than that, the vehicle feels very solid and refined. Plus, they are all built in Japan.
It's the best secondhand buy by far. Most people buy these secondhand coz of the price. They depreciate like crazy. I'm not sure how they sell new ones!
Test drove one. Agree that the driving position is super awkward. Both the driver and passenger sit way too high. Makes you feel like you are floating in the seats.
Yeah, a 5.6 liter engine in the Z will absolutely ruin that car, lol. Nice call. As for the ride comfort... It's not in the wheel size, it's in the sidewall height. The rear leveler does not aid in the ride comfort whatsoever. It's only purpose is to level the rear when the tongue is loaded. The ride comfort is in the sidewall and the suspension.
I feel like everything now a days is “off-road this and off-road that” when in reality most people will never see a gravel driveway. How does it do in the snow and rain? This truck is damn near perfect. Rides like a dream and tows 8500 pounds. Think If ford put the coyote in an expedition? Then look at the TRD PRO seqoiua. It has no ground clearance compared to the wheelbase. That this is terrible off road. You know who buys that truck?, douche bags, that’s who. It’s amazing what people buy just to impress everyone they don’t know.
I have a 2020 Armada Platinum. The only reason I ever drive off-road is to get somewhere that isn't paved -- which is rare -- and in reality, I don't use the 4x4 for that very often. However, I do ski, and so far, the Armada has done just fine in the snow. I was cross-shopping a used Lexus GX460, which drove a little better, but just didn't have the room the Armada has -- especially in the 3rd row.
I'm 5'-7" and you absolutely sold me on this Armada - THANK YOU~~!! Now take yur big tall fat a** over to the Escalade dealer and pony-up yur extra $50K. They built one for you. - you poor babies can't buy this one. Gud, it leaves them cheap and plentiful for us midgets. PS -great review - no other reviwers even mentioned the air-ride.
Everything removes when you remove enough bolts. By design it does not remove. Four bolts and all the chairs come out. Would you say the seats are "removable"?
Twice the gas? hardly. I get 19 mpg on the hiwghway with a leadfoot. Show me any body-on-frame 400 hp SUV that can do this with 38 mpg. They dont exist.
Really? Unlike Mercedes, Toyota and BMW, GM and just about everyone else Nissan has NEVER made a problematic 6 cyl or 8 cyl engine. Even the 4 cylinders are great. .They often outperfom competitors in many parameters. it is just most reviewers are blinded by the huge marketing departments of its competitors. Nissan spends the least money on advertising.

Greetings. If you can recall, I’m curious about your MPG during that road trip to Colorado.

The best true V8 today’s market no cylinder fuel management system means way less problems.
AKA bullet proof. Love that Endurance engine and the drivetrain.
A gentle brute that pulls
VK Swap the world!
If it had a Locker and drive modes it would be the Land Cruiser replacement
This ^
I'm surprised it doesn't TBH

I have a 2020 Infiniti QX80 …which is the Armada that went to grad school….very happy with it.
LoL..💐
It is more plush than a plastic yukon or tahoe. Very nice soft touch everywhere

Japanese small ppl than American. Acceptable their high quality crafted. 👍
The GM has a V8 WITH DOD displacement on demand, Ford have V6 turbo that's why I Picked the Armada.
Amen!!!🎉

It is my understanding that the rear center console is removable
It does not.
Technically no, but it's only like 4 bolts so if you NEED to you could take it out. It's not a quick release like they had in Quest minivans.
It is removable
Perfect for my 5 foot 6 stature
Right on 👍 👍
Nissan Rules!!
Ford's cousin's in the family.
Do all the trims have the same 16-speaker bose sound?
Glad I'm 5'9".
Perfect truck for avg person. ❤
Test drove one. Agree that the driving position is super awkward. Both the driver and passenger sit way too high. Makes you feel like you are floating in the seats.
I'm hearing a V6 turbo is on the way.
sadly yeah, for the next gen
I hope NOT

Wish they had a supercharger for it
They do! Look up y62. In Dubai and Australia this car is a beast!
I'm zonking all sunroofs unless you are a smoker.

Does it have the auto start / stop? I hate it?
nope, none of that garbage

Center console comes out easily by removing 4 torx bolts

@@t-jh4236 absolutely! If you can turn a wrench you can remove it. Welded: not removable because you need to destroy the weld.
Don't be a tool!!
if your over 6 foot its tough to get into
I’m 6,2… no problem
@@hertzair1186 6'3" here and also zero problems.
I’m 6’4 and your mom loves it
I’m 6ft 6 and 300 lbs no issues.
I don't like the wrinkles on the door upholstery. Looks like bad to me.
The beluga whale
nah that’s the QX80
Catch up. That's old news dude. It doesn't have the front snout any longer.
and that's great
Air suspension + air shocks repair = $$$
MPG is killer deadly... Yes its cheaper but your paying twice the gas per month. Keep this in mind.
MPG is not what it's know for, that's for sure.
pay more for a Tahoe with the same gas bill, doubly f*ked lol

@@elizabethmiller7918 LOL right. the MPG is decent for the size and capabilities of the vehicle
I get 22 hwy in my 18 titan! This will probably do equally as well
Nothing Nissan makes is the best. Let's just be honest

Nissan spends the least money on advertising.
I have owned 7 vehicles, and my Nissan Xterra held up to my poor driving habits really well.
Nissan makes arguably the worlds best mass produced V6 of all time. The VQ35 is phenomenal in terms of both performance and reliability.
their V6 & V8s are the best in the business.
