Hey everyone! Soon after posting this video, some new information about the Titan 51104 wax has come to light. The manufacturer initially gave Hive & Honey the incorrect info on the makeup of this wax. It is actually about half paraffin, and the other half is a mix of coconut, soy, and palm waxes. I personally don't mind the paraffin content, but I know there are people who do, so just wanted to post an update to make sure everyone is aware of this info!
Actually after I saw this video ordered this wax I Live in Canada , very expensive to deliver it here. Hot throw was amazing OMG, it could fill my entire first and second floor of a townhouse with just 9% fragance oil but the environment at home became so dense, which was pretty sad cause no vegetable wax has ever gave me the HT I got with this wax, I blended just 20% with coco 83 =(. so now I have lots of pounds sitting here =(
I love Angie at Hive and Honey her products all around are amazing. I use her Soy wax but was considering the coconut wax after the success I have had with the soy. Thanks Bree you convinced me
Thank you for watching! I did post an update in the description, but in case you didn't see I just wanted to let you know that the day after I posted this video, new info came to the surface about this wax. The manufacturer initially gave Hive & Honey incorrect makeup of what is in this wax. It is actually closer to half paraffin, and then the other half is a blend of the soy, coconut and palm. Just wanted you to be aware! I don't mind the paraffin content, but I know some do.
Curious what percentage of your old formula and SP487 was? Was it 20% like 51104 with the Coco83? Also could you link your wick tabs? I love the roll! Speaking of love, Hive and Honey and Angie are the best!!!
Almost like 16/17 #1 wax as well , I love the HPSP wicks especially for those jars and the work great with my wax blend as well thankfully 😅 it took me a month to find a wick that worked as I’m not used to those jars either . Thank you for this video
Thanks, Bree. This was so helpful! I’ve been thinking about trying this wax because I’ve heard so many good things about it. Are you going to be using this for your wax melts too?
So how did you like this Wax? And what wick type did you end up using if you dont mind me asking. Im using Pure Palm Paraffin from Makesy but its kinda pricey & mix with the SP487 but like you said, i want just 1 wax not 2 waxes. If you ended liking this wax, i will most likley place my order today cause i truly trust what you say
I actually really like this wax! However, I am blending it now (which defeats the whole purpose of testing it in the first place lol)! Right after I put up this video, it was revealed that this wax actually contains 50% paraffin, not a small amount like originally stated. Since I had a case of the 51104, and still had a case of coconut 83, I decided to blend the two to knock down the paraffin content in the 51104, and I actually am in love with this blend. More so than my original blend of coconut 83 and SP 487. I do think it’s a wonderful wax on its own if the paraffin content being that high doesn’t bother you. I personally don’t mind it, but I know some of my customers do so I wanted to keep that in mind.
I feel like I'm late to the party, but did you not like the Nordic jars from CS? I remember you testing them a while back, and was considering them myself 😅
Hi! I did like them, but due to the shape of them I found it really hard to get a label to stay smooth. Even the vertical, skinny labels I tried would still bubble up at the top. I decided to move on.
I’ve been testing it and like it so far. What fragrance load works for you? I’ve poured testers @ 9%. Going to try 8% to see the difference. I’ve been wanting to try hpsp wicks. Going to order the sample kit.
The price on this wax is actually very affordable. It's $33 for one slab, and $110 for 4 slabs (a case), which is actually a better price than my last blend @@ItsJessie915

Yesssss!!! Been looking at this one for a month now.
It’s a great wax!! Thanks for watching

Don't expect candle makers to answer questions like these.
I just ordered some, can't wait

I’ve been thinking about trying this wax because I’ve heard so many good things about it. Are you going to be using this for your wax melts too?
You’re so welcome! It’s too soft for melts, so I’ll be sticking to C55 for my melts.

So are you no longer blending waxes and using 51104 on its own?

I’ve been going with 8% lately and have had great results!
@@calafiacandleco awesome! Thanks for making this video.
@@calafiacandleco What other wick series have you tried with 51104? I’m noticing that it likes smaller wicks.
Watching and getting ready to start in candle business. Can you tell me where do you get your jars from?
Hi there! They are from Candle Science.
How does it hold up in summer temps?
I currently am blending it with coconut 83, so hard to say since I'm not using it on it's own.
Is this wax give good hot throw and smooth tops
Yes! As seen in the video
@@calafiacandleco I wouldn’t pay $33.00 for it though

Great information. Thanks
beautifully smooth tops!
Smooth like buttahhhh
What temperature did you pour ??(:
I didn’t measure. Just heated to 215, added FO right away, stirred and poured.
Hey Bree! We really like your content a lot. We just sent you an email seeking collaboration. Could you please take some time to check it?🥰
