I LOVE the 5230 blended with 10% beeswax and 10% fragrance. The ct/ht is very strong and rich! I’ve been making candles for years, mostly coconut wax blends but have also used many different soy waxes and the 5230 is my favorite ❤
I don’t know how you use that high of a % of beeswax and don’t lose your mind it’s so darn temperamental, I just use a small % to bring up melt point, it does nothing for CT or HT , which is good I like mine right where it’s at & I use 8% fragrance load in my candles so that in itself started saving me $ 😊
Okuuurrrr!! Thank you for sharing your recipe! Glad that works for you and you love the 5230 🥰 I knew my blending chandlers would show up in the comments to help!
Hey Kerry! I appreciate you showing this wax. I considered it because it's a container wax and a melt wax, but I was skeptical because it has to adhere. The additional clean up for the melts was a turn off, but also the performance. I, too, do not want to blend waxes, so thanks again for this video. Awesome review!
Thank you, babe! Yeah we are on the same page 😆 all of that was a bummer for me. The 494 pops out clean. Now I have residue and it’s annoying! But I’m thinking that if I pour melts into those cavities it’ll pull up that remaining leftover wax. 🤞🏻 Sorry but 5230 is a joke for tart wax. 🤷🏻♀️
I am team flakes, pastilles too! I want to eliminate any barriers I may come across with time management and it helps my decision fatigue to choose waxes that are already in little pieces.
Love that little melter. Use it all the time while I'm testing. There isn't really any temp control, so you have to watch it, but it melts really fast.
Thank you for this video. I have been blending my waxes with beeswax, but I have the same concerns. How do I blend at scale? Fussy is right. Blending both waxes and fragrance oils makes things complicated. I appreciate your candor here.
Appreciate you sharing that, Robert. These are definitely things to consider. Everything you do, business owners need to ask themselves “How does this scale?” It’ll bite ya
They are 💯 reliable and super responsive. There’s also a one year warranty that comes with all of their melters so if anything were to happen, they’ll replace it immediately. You should join the Toauto Facebook group! facebook.com/share/g/Fhskeks77KUEwTLd/?mibextid=K35XfP
I had that issue with coco apricot , right off I didn’t like the smell of the wax , it changed the original smell of all of my scents , they smelled like crayons and my scents mixed together 😅 I love my soy 10 , I do add beeswax at a small % in the summer in some of my vessels not all , and my wax for melts is and will always be TW-30 , thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you for sharing! I’m testing soy 10 and so far… it has come to PLAY! I was surprised that the 5230 muted the fragrance oil. What a bummer! I recently bought melts from my candle maker friend and she uses pro blend 600 and I am SOLD on its performance. Holy smokes!
5230 isn't made anymore. it's been replaced by 4858. Both are 100% soy and have terrible hot throw in my experience. in fact, that's the wax that got me to quit soy altogether. any wax that needs ten percent fragrance load is a terrible wax
i'm not a fan of 5230. it has an off-putting smell right out of the box, and it's probably the most sinkhole prone wax i've worked with. overall, my results were right in line with yours. imo, it's overhyped. of all the soy waxes i've tested, 5230 ranks at the bottom of the list.

Finally… Ah soooo good. Thank you for this. You are amazing! ❤
I appreciate you, friend! Thank you ❤️🥰

💯!! That is why I have been so hesitant to try any new waxes. They all seem to come in slab form!

That is the one drawback for sure. Because it heats up so fast, getting to temp is a breeze!

Hey friend, thanks for the review!! Sry for the shortage on wax.. we'll make sure to take care of that for you!!
All good, babe! I appreciate you! 🥰
Do you like the little purple-ish colored wax melter with spout you have? I’ve been eyeing it on Amazon for when I just want to make a small tester.
YES YES YES I love it! It’s perfect for testing. I have a link in the description. You will kick yourself for not having it already 🤗
@@couturehomeandbody thanks! I saw a couple similar ones that were more random brands I thought about getting but Toauto seems to be reliable.

Virginia Candle Supply carries Titan waxes. ups shipping is just around $20 for 45lbs and it ships the same day!
That shipping price is WAY better! And their prices are cheaper too! Thank you ☺️
Testing it now! I typically blend with beeswax 🐝
What percentage of beeswax do you use?
@ 3% currently :)
Thank you for sharing!! Good luck in your testing 🤗
Is that a long knife? Where did you get it from?
Yes, it’s a double handle cheese block knife but I got it to cut up my butters, etc.

Love Hive and Honey ❤
Me tooooo!! 🥰
Wow i get excellent hot throw with the 5230
Thank you for sharing, Marion. Do you blend it?!
No I don't
Listen to that accent! 😂. Love you girl!
😂 Love youuuuu!

Titan 5230 is still manufactured. You can check it out at Hive & Honey! And agree on that fragrance load. This was an underwhelming experience.
@@couturehomeandbody thanks for the correction!!!!

Tried this also and ht was horrible. I truly wanted it to be a winner but unfortunately it Wasn't for me.

I think 5230 needs to be blended to live up to the hype. It’s perfect for the master chandler blenders out there!
