This piece is incredibly difficult, it's all ensemble! Doesn't look that hard on paper, but it's very hard to put together!

I believe that some master Beethoven interpreters would ask for more expression from Pahud. It's like he partied too hard (with alcohol of choice) the day before this recording. LOL
In what way? It's just a little salon piece. Elegance and refinement are what is called for and that's what I hear.
@@susanshawflute6729 Just about everything Chopin wrote was a "salon" piece, including his concertos. it might take you a few more decades to understand the types of expression that Beethoven requires...it's not for normies.
Also, famous classical musicians are paid a fortune to play at winery-based festivals. Sometimes they overindulge, confusing themselves for the millionaire/billionaire patrons. Musicians are mere plebs/servants.
