I've only ever been to Sheringham once on the train, back in 2016 when it was the old platform. When i visit its usually only to Hoveton and Wroxham then taxi to stalham or walk into Hoveton (Wroxham is the other side of the bridge from the train station) I've used the Wherry line twice to travel between Acle and Norwich
Excellent video once again Sarah 👍 Class 37s are one of the best things ever to run on the railways. Hopefully I will be visiting the North Norfolk Railway next month for the mixed traction gala
It is odd how things that were considered a bit naf in past times take on a different opinion as they age. Diesels were frowned upon in the days towards the end of steam but now, even they look good. Great video.
I was at Sheringham way back in 1977 when I was just 13, for a weeks holiday ( I live in Taunton, Somerset). I remember the trains were hauled by class 37's in those days, and I believe we travelled from what is now the North Norfolk Railway Station to Norwich.
Used to watch 37's on passenger services on the Cardiff Rhymney line a few years back. They are distinctive. Trumped slightly by a class 40 at full tilt. Delicious looking cake! Thanks for another Great video
Class 37s are god tier locomotives! Great Video Sarah and only visited Sheringham when it could only fit a 2 car Class 156 before it got replaced in 2019
Sheringham ❤ a place very dear to my heart close to where my grandparents used to live when we used to go up there in the holidays over the last 17 years as a kid before my grandparents moved in with us down to Kent due to health reasons.
A person for whom the North Norfolk Railway is their happy place is my kind of person. Especially when the said person also loves the sound of a class 37. Great video and excellent conclusion to your Bittern line series.
A few years ago my friends and I did a circular by bus and train from Ely, stopping at Kings Lynn, Hunstanton, Wells, Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. We even watched the yellow chaps at Carrow Road. Very pretty county, some elderly trains back then, the football, not so much.
its amazing to see Sheringham again as i visited the town when i was holidaying in Norwich in 2018 its a lovely little seaside town and that class 37 sounded amazing i do like the sound of a 37 brilliant vlog
Pasty AND Chocolate cake. Much Approvement here. .... Of course.... You could have had a hot chocolate, asked for a spoon ..... And dribbled some chocolate loveliness over the cake. ..... but that's just me. 😋
If this the end of the bitton line I am hoping there is another line I live in New Zealand and have visited England a lot of times and I love your railways. Keep up your very interesting vlogs.
See the thing is is that the sound of a 37 thrashing away from a station is truly awesome but personally a Deltic does it much better! I've been wanting to visit the Bittern Line and the NNR and after watching your video, I now have reasons to go visit! :D
My brother and his GF live near Norwich and every time I watch one of your videos I have to remind myself that I can’t just go to Norfolk and spend the whole time exploring the railways (probably wouldn’t go down too well)
What was attached to the Dalek? Was is a hand sanitiser dispenser? Would be awesome if it was, because then the germs would be exterminated! And thanks for the nice video!
Good but still doesn't beat 412 that engine is brilliant Bit like my old engine that has a name plate on the side evening post. cant quite remember the number. but i do know it was a 125 that used to go though Reading in the 1990's :D
The automated announcement at 0.49 does seem a rather long winded way of saying the train is terminating at Sheringham. Why not simply say 'The next station is Sheringham, where this train terminates'? This would be a lot less wordy! Saying change here for the North North Norfolk is a nice touch though.
fantastic!!!
A lovely video, and the owner of the Class 37 driving his loco!

A very enjoyable video, thankyou
Sheringham, one of my favourite places in the world. My Grandma and I spent many happy times at the putting greens, the NNR and the beach etc
A fab ending to the Bittern line, You are definitely worthy of that mug of steaming hot British Rail tea and a sticky bun, Well done Gal!
Yes, Black Prince included. Wonderful!
I loved visiting Sheringham when I lived in Norfolk. Very historic town and railway. Once again, you have presented it superbly.
Excellent video once again Sarah 👍

Class 37's have amazing sound as I recently saw two of them last month which they sounded amazing and great video
Another great video well done
Great Video Sarah! Can't beat a tractor.

Once described as a cross between a chuckle and a chortle!
Class 37 thrash is my happy sound 😊

Sarah that Class 37 was built in the year I was born and obviously better maintained over the years than me. 🤔🤣.

The Angel Of Crewe is going live 🚂!🥳
Sheringham ❤ a place very dear to my heart close to where my grandparents used to live when we used to go up there in the holidays over the last 17 years as a kid before my grandparents moved in with us down to Kent due to health reasons.
I don’t know if I will be going to Norfolk anymore since my grandad died in October
A person for whom the North Norfolk Railway is their happy place is my kind of person. Especially when the said person also loves the sound of a class 37. Great video and excellent conclusion to your Bittern line series.
Excellent video again Sarah!
Sheringham looks like a nice place to visit. 🙂👍

Another great video Sarah...
Loved those old locomotives.
Good job!! 👍
Good video you and glove trains are amazing interesting video my late father worked on the railways as a signal man
Great video, Sarah! Yep, can’t beat that “37” sound, although I’d say a “43” HST comes a pretty close second (even if Dad still calls them 125s!)

Another gerat video Sara, ever planning to visit the Netherlands.
Not in the near future but would love to!
If this the end of the bitton line I am hoping there is another line I live in New Zealand and have visited England a lot of times and I love your railways. Keep up your very interesting vlogs.
Don't worry there's plenty more lines, disused railways and railway structures I plan to film! Glad you enjoy the videos! 🙂

A very good Monday evening beautiful young lady how are you doing today hun from Alan in Lowestoft xx
What was attached to the Dalek? Was is a hand sanitiser dispenser? Would be awesome if it was, because then the germs would be exterminated!
And thanks for the nice video!
That would've been awesome if it was sanitiser! It was actually a charity collection box 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the video!

Glad it's not just me that rates a 37 at Sheringham as one of life's pleasures!😂.
COLA✅ PASTY✅ CAKE ✅ DALEK ✅ HAT ✅ TELEPHONE ❌ 🙁

British rail thumpers are better than 37s.
