I love the loneliness of a rarely used station and I think you captured the beauty of rural Norfolk too.

Trevor is very passionate about his station. To water his plants he has to carry the water with him to the station on the train. Sometimes he will then cycle or walk to Cantley to get a train back.

YT just suggested this to me. Great! How many have you got left to do in Norfolk? I completed Suffolk a few weeks ago, with 10 more Norfolk (which I hope to do next year). Not yet been to Buckenham.
Thank you Sarah, it's interesting to see a part of the country I don't know well. It was a shame you didn't have time to show us the village that the station serves, maybe another time? I think these lightly used stations are the most interesting. It was obviously felt that a station was justified in the past and I always ask myself what has changed since that time. I enjoyed this, I'll go back and watch your earlier videos now!

I think this station could have more potential if the bird watchers visiting this area know that they can get there by train
It's such a shame the service is so sparse for most of the week as Sundays are the only day it has more than 2 trains. One of the other people that got off the train when I did was there for the birds but I think so many more people would visit if it was easier to get to by train. Also there's no other public transport in the area so I think it would thrive if the trains were more regular!

That was brilliant Sarah. I really enjoyed it. I don't know why but I had you pegged as a bird watcher, I am glad you confirmed it, albeit as an 'ex' status! I always think its funny to imagine that whatever station you go to, Geoff and Vicky have been there. It's kind of comforting. Now there are a few stations where I can think you've been there too.
I think I definitely do still have the birdwatcher vibe! Instead of binoculars around my neck these days I have my camera instead!

It's bleeding ridiculous that the station is so little served, how does anyone in government or the TOC expect people to use something with no service?
(And the traveling abroad with Greater Anglia rail and sail is a sensible idea to get to the Netherlands)
I honestly think the passenger figures for the station must be almost entirely Sunday passengers as I can't imagine anyone using the station on other days unless they plan to walk a long way to get to one of the other stations on the line or somewhere with a bus service as buses don't serve Buckenham.
