I have never thought bout turbo’s issues can relate to fuel injectors… I purchased one of those machines to diagnose my fuel injectors. Great benefits!! I found one blown injector. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome video, very informative! Can you please briefly explain how to check the flow of the injector. For example if its a 2200cc injector what test do I run? I have the same machine and would appreciate any input you can provide. Thank you!
Great video actually. You are quite intriguing! Work safe man, how old is your business? Every time I see you in Jimmy videos you are always doing something awesome
McSwagger hey man thanks for the awesome comment! I’ve owned the company since 1999. I’ve done 99% word of mouth business since then. I just now started getting into the social media scene much more than I had been.
The problem could have just been a clogged filter screen. Why didn't you change the screen? Servicing usually involves changing the screen, o rings, spacers, and pintle cover. Great video by the way!
To keep costs down (which in this area is paramount), we do different levels of service. Occasionally we will replace everything but most of the time its just o-rings and if they appear clogged, a backflush to clear the screens. If they continue to fail we recommend sending them back to the manufacturer for service or rebuild.
I clean outboard injectors all the time. But instead of using the degreaser i use Power tune it from Mercury. Its a decarbonizer in the ultra sonic cleaner with a little heat. I have only had 1 injector not come back.
speeddr2000 I’ll have to try that stuff out. It’s rare that I get a totally failed injector that isn’t physically damaged. The one in this vid was struck on the nozzle by a broken intake valve.
Boats might be different we get a lot of carbon. But the one injector that i couldn't get going again wouldn't click before i tested nor after soaking testing.
Yo, this is Garrett we met at Jimmy's the other night. This is rad. I gotta bring you the injectors from my MK2. I've long suspected maybe one of them is sticking or hanging! Would be nice to know for sure.
What’s up Justin, It’s Andy, I’m Evan Merola’s buddy, we’ve met a couple times. I️ got a set of RC 440s that I’d love to toss on that machine to give them a check
i got a question if I have oem injector 1pin hole @ 243.8cc p/m and swap for 4pin hole 232.1cc p/m, will the 4pin hole spray more fuel than the single pin hole? can the 5.9L magnum benefit from 4pinhole vs the oem 1pin hole?
That was a cool video, I don’t understand the standing in front of the smart car part. ‘ you could probably still see the car’ if it was any bigger you could still see it anyways. I sat there and thought about that for a while. :)
Do you use a specialized/proprietary solution in your ultrasonic, or is there an off the shelf solution or mixture that's safe for the plastic parts and the electrical coils in the injectors?
I always wondered how the hell injectors were cleaned. Also, my mechanic told me to only clean them 2 times, then replace all four, for precaution, just as you. As you can tell fuel in my country is shitty AF 😂 Keep it up!
Nice video! I'm curious why you said that further cleaning risked damaging the injector. What's the thinking behind that comment? I haven't found a downside to extra cleaning time.
Excess time in the ultrasonic can cause pitting on metal. Especially if there are any brass parts in the injector. I have found excessive time in the ultrasonic caused leaking seats on some cheaper injectors.
@@MorFabIndustries Interesting. I have a hard time picturing a typical degreaser or injector cleaner being able to pit brass. I would think you could soak a brass part in cleaner for weeks and not see any significant pitting. Now on a chinese injector, I wouldn't trust it any further than I can throw it.
You are correct. You could soak them forever. However in an ultrasonic bath the sound waves create small bubbles on the surface of what you're cleaning. Those small bubbles implode causing a pretty powerful shockwave. Enough to pit metal. Check TH-cam for cavitation or how an ultrasonic works. Pretty neat stuff actually!
@@MorFabIndustries I'll do that, thanks. I knew about the bubbles as I have one, but I didn't know they could pit metal! Wow. Unrelated, I have this massive ultrasonic tank I'm working on. Came out of the hospital, where it was used clean surgical instruments. Easily big enough to put two cylinder heads in, with a ridiculous amount of industrial strength transducers. Can't wait to get that thing running.
@@MorFabIndustries when your done do you just pulse the injector to get residual mineral spirits out or do you flush that out with clean fuel or do you just hook back up after and let the little residual cleaning solution go that is left in the injector.
Info info info so much info, keep it up. Ifb you could do a video on old ford eec computers that would be great, I know nobody cares about it and the videos out of it suck.
i have one of these testers and was wondering what you used for your test fluid. I was going to use straight techron injector cleaner concentrate. what are you using?
That injector tester/cleaner is such a simple yet awesome tool. Thank you for doing a full demo, seeing that thing in action is quite interesting.
TibzzTube I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the flow test. There's something satisfying about improving the balance of injectors.

It’s been excellent actually. Not a single issue with it and I’ve had it 10 years or so now
Is flow test done at 3 bar, 100% IDC for 1 minute???

Have you every replace your pump if so which pump you use
Do you use a specialized/proprietary solution in your ultrasonic, or is there an off the shelf solution or mixture that's safe for the plastic parts and the electrical coils in the injectors?
What fluid do you use for calibration? What if go for more time ultrasonic cleaning on inj. 4?
what solution do you use for the FI cleaning machine
I didn't know you service injectors. What do you charge to flow test and clean injectors? And what's the largest size you service?
100/4 125/6 and 150/8 and i can do alll the way up to 2500cc
Oh well that was interesting to see and nobody shows how exactly work, i wish i have one of those mashines lol
FollowJulian it is a nice machine to have!
Can these be used for diesel injector cleaning
Awesome and vey informative video!
Could this machine tell you what CC your injectors are?
did you try backflow as well?
Chinese and 'champagne as your calibration fluid?

Thanks! Fuel is shitty everywhere now.
What type of fluid is in the flow portion
Cylinders 1, 2, and 3 would run rich!, so if one injector is off, it will affect all the other injectors.
What fluid do You use in ultrasonic machine? Destilled water would be fine? Or something "more special"?
Clear mineral spirits from home depot
@@MorFabIndustries thanks for Your reply, one more question - what do You think about cleaning injectors with carb cleaner spray DIY way?
@@Atetus94 .. I wouldn’t use spray on the FI as it would ruin the coil inside., would lock up. Use the bath and wipe.
can you do diesel injectors?
Unfortunately no. This machine will only handle gas injectors.

Wrong solution!!!
What is your preferred solution? For ultrasonic or flow tester?
Buy a real test bench
i have one of these testers and was wondering what you used for your test fluid. I was going to use straight techron injector cleaner concentrate. what are you using?
It seems most people use mineral spirits to actually flow test the injectors and I hear them say they use Seafoam to do the ultrasonic cleaning.
