@@talhurwitz hi maestro it's no problemo you speak so well , I'm Greek I have a strong accent. Your playing is word class. I did a master's but I have no where near your musicality. I know you meet a friend of my from China who sells guitars in Germany. Happy teaching and performing.
I had never seen something like that. Teaching us, step by step this awesome piece. Thanks a lot, you made my day, the best day ever. I'm studying La Catedral and when I saw you... God is really wonderful in putting you in my way. I was a self-taught student and now I'm trying to make it formal and I'm 'suffering' a lot, but I'm learning. God always bless you and I'm sure you're a BLESSED MAN.
Beautiful. You did that whole middle section up around the 7th position (as far as I could tell). I never even thought of that. Never saw anyone else play it like that. I always have the worst time trying to connect that 7th to 4th position C# dom7th chord shift. You've given me a lot of alternate fingergerings to try out. That performance was incredible Thank you so much for the lesson. You are a true master.
Fantastic! One of our greatest fascinations on the guitar, is the ability to play a phrase with many different fingerings. Each one of those fingerings has a special expressive quality that is unique. If this video managed to open your mind to various possibilities, that makes me happy!
Thank you much for this interesting break down of a masterpiece! A true master as he plays this difficult piece so effortlessly and so much power! Amazing!
This is awe inspiring! I’ve been studying the John Williams version for many years, more recently I’ve been transcribing it to play with s pick just for fun, I’ll never get to this level of speed and cleanliness! Lots of great new left hand fingerings to try though! Thanks so much for making this! I also have had that exact thing happen! I would hyperventilate and my hands would get shaky and I would flub! A nurse practitioner has me try a beta blocker which worked but I finally leaned that just controlling (slowing) your breathing rate is all you need!
Tal - as I’ve watched this video so many times, bought a subscription to tonebase directly because of this video, bought two 30 year old classical guitars directly because of this video, and now got pretty decent at playing the first 20 bars of movement 3 - I just have to say a big thank you. Thank you for your enthusiasm to teach, your brilliant playing, your creative fingering, your easy to follow discussion of such subtle nuances I never even thought of before. And what I think is especially unique - your greats insights on handling the psychological aspects of playing difficult pieces. You are the man. I’m a software developer and one day really want to break up the monotony of a work conference call by suddenly playing movement 3 , totally unannounced lol. If I do I’ll record it and put it up for all to hear :)
Pouvez- vous me l’envoyer à mon E-Mail?(talhurwitz@yahoo.com)
Your videos are truly inspiring, I’m not a classical guitarist, but I’m trying to learn on my own and embrace the classical music with a healthy mentality. I feel your ability to open a mind is very rare. Found your channel because of Legnani’s 7th Caprice from Op. 20 which I’m trying to learn, It would be great if you would consider to share your knowledge about that Legnani’s Caprice as well. Thank you and hope you have a good day 😁
Thank you Roman. I wish you best of luck for your guitar journey. This is exciting! I’ll keep in mind and hopefully will get a chance to say some things about Legnani. Regards Tal
Maestro Hurwitz, how do I get this fabulous transcript? I could try to do it from the video but it don't see the left hand all the time. Greetings and many congratulations
Dear Anibal, thank you for your comment. The fingerings you can get on the Tonebase website. If you have a specific question, you can send me an email. Best regards
Total wisdom, thank you! 💯
Pure wisdom from a true master!
Thank you maestro !
Maestro Hurwitz, thank you for sharing this video. You are truly inspiring.
It’s my pleasure. Thank you for the kind words! The other two parts are on their way

É uma aula avançado. Não estou nesse nível. Mas é notável que é um ótimo professor

Excelente class👏👏
Fantástico. Extraordinário.. Bravo.
I´m absolute sure even Barrios himself, a virtuose guitarist, played like Tal ever... this guy is crazy...
