That dish looks so good! You have done it again Mike!! Those paper liners really was useful. Id love to see how you folded them :) Now I long even more for my gear to arrive!
First-time viewer and new subscriber. Awesome video. Looks great and yes, please a video on how you fold the parchment would be helpful. It looked like it didn't even leak. Steve and Firebox are great. Thank you for the great content.
@@offcourseoutdoors8366Just tried your recipe, except using some Trangia kit. Rice in a small mess tin. Broccoli in a large mess tin. Beef in the pan with a lid. Couldn’t get the sauce to congeal, but tasted amazing!
That’s wonderful! I hope you had a fun time making and eating it. Typically the cornstarch mixed in with the beef will get the sauce to thicken but in the case it does not, you can make a slurry of cornstarch and water which you can add slowly until you get the desired thickness. Good job! Cheers!
Looks amazing. I think this dish at least would be easier in a skillet, although the cast iron may provide better results with rice. Now make a tamagoyaki video!
Outstanding Firebox cast iron cookery, my friend 👨🍳🤌🍳❤ You've inspired me to review your parchment paper folding videos to make a sturdy, higher-walled "pans edge"- something between the shallow and deep pan 💭
Looking forward to snagging this when the time comes!
Indeed! Thanks for watching!
Looked awesome. Can’t wait for my 5 way. A video on the folding of the paper would be great.

Genius! Good thing It's time for lunch! this video made me hungry!
Perfect! lol Cheers Steve!
Copy and paste much? Exact same comment on my FB post. 🤨
Great video,
Yes, please make a how-to video for the folded parchment paper. Thanks
Coming soon! Cheers!
There is actually a trick to it. Simple folding will not make all four corners stand up nicely and sealed to contain all liquid inside.
Great idea with the parchment paper, anything to reduce the dishes!
Yes! Thank you!
I bet the 5-way would be great for omurice. I love the easy cleanup!
I think so too! Thanks for watching!

Smelling good from here. (Yahara Park?). Big fan of Firebox Stove and cast iron cookware, but don't have the FB 5-Way (yet)

About folding the parchment?
I know right, I'm pretty OCD when it comes to folding paper, lol Cheers
@@offcourseoutdoors8366 I would love to see a video on how you fold the parchment. It's a great a idea to reduce cleaning.
Of course, I can fold it myself, I just thought you had mentioned a folding tip.
The video has been released! incase you are interested. Thanks for watching.
That 5 way cooker sure looks great. I guess I’ll be the last person to get one since it seems everyone on TH-cam has theirs already.
The kickstarter ends today.... www.kickstarter.com/projects/foldingfirebox/5-way-bushcraft-cooker
Looks amazing. However, parchment paper contains silicone, which is now infused in your meal, rendering it unhealthy. Great video, though.
too much paper
Thx for sharing the obnoxious music
You win some.. you loose some... lol, thanks for the feedback, cheers!
