    That's the pad wear sensor not wheel speed

      You are correct my friend, that's the name of it👍. Thank you for watching.

      That’s what i was coming to say. If your code says wheel speed sensor.. then this is NOT the right one.

    Thank you very much for thorough information. It is very useful. I agree with you that when installing bolt, always use by hena dfirst to prevent cross thread. If we use impact tool directly when it is cross threaded it will cost very expensive. Cheers from Indonesia.

    As others pointed out, those sensors are for brake wear only, and do NOT affect the ABS, EBD or ESC systems. Those sensors are the "wheel speed sensors" that are held in with 10mm bolts on your hub knuckles (can't miss it - the only thing with a wire). The other thing I'd add is that you have be be very suspicious of any "fix" that takes a week to "kick in" - this particular problem is infamous for popping up, and then disappearing for no apparent reason days or weeks later.

    How do you know which sensor without taking the wheels off?

    Dude, you should correct your video. This is not the sensor for ABS/ESP. That sensor is in the back of the rotor/shield. This is a sensor that tells your car when the brakes need to be changed.

    Hello before. Yours started working, was your speedometer also faulty??
    Like it wasn’t reading?

    • @verygoodgrip
      @verygoodgrip 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd like to know as well. After changing wheel bearings my ABS and warning light is lit, as well as speedometer and fuel gage is not working.

    • @hackerskates
      @hackerskates  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, if when you change the wheelbearing you torque it correctly, then that is not your problem; but if you didn't torque it to spect, then that maybe the problem. If there is one wheel of a vehicle that moves at a different speed than the other wheels, the wheel speed sensor detects this and then notifies the anti-lock braking system.
      Once this happens, the system will activate the hydraulic pump to increase the amount of brake fluid pressure. This will allow the wheels to maintain their traction as they’re touching the ground.
      Unfortunately, hydraulic pumps tend to get worn out after years of using them. This would certainly cause the ABS light to come on.

    • @hackerskates
      @hackerskates  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. Sorry for the late response, my car abs warning light came on a few days after I replaced the brakes and my speedometer was working properly, (you may have a faulty speed sensor). If just your traction control or ABS light is on, then there’s a strong chance your system may have accidentally turned off. Check to see if you may have accidentally bump the switch, and consult your owner’s manual if you’re not sure where it is.

    The stability control light go away too ?

    • @hackerskates
      @hackerskates  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. If the problem is the brake pad sensors the stability control light should go away after, but you would have to drive the car a few days( like a week) so the computer reset that light. If that doesn't fix you problem, then you would have to replace the actual speed sensors. Thanks for watching.

    A part number would be awesome.

    • @hackerskates
      @hackerskates  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Sorry about that. The reason that I didn't add the part number is because those sensors came with brakes and rotors that I replaced and it didn't show the part number. But you can buy them on Amazon just make sure they are compatible with your vehicle and as far as I know they don't need to be programm.

    This is brake pad wear sensor. Wheel speed/ABS sensor got all wheels..

    • @hackerskates

    Not a good idea to put wheel under bumper if jack gives way,your front end will be damaged good to put near where jack is

    hey bro when this light came on in my mercedes c350 & I put the obd2 scanner to see what for & it says the manifold sensor is out or the wiring got messed up but I have the same light you have on the dash. (abs,esp)

    • @hackerskates
      @hackerskates  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. If you have the (abs,esp) ligh is a big possibility that the brake pad sensors need to be replaced which is the one you see in the video or the actual abs sensor that is located around the same area. The manifold message is something else or maybe and old code that never been erase. You should start by changing the sensor that you see in this video. Thank for watching.
