- We sat down to learn about a novel treatment to help improve egg quality in IVF patients. Dr. Zaher Merhi, MD, FACOG, HCLD is a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Medical Director at Rejuvinating Fertility Center in New York City.
Dr. Merhi walks us through what ovarian rejuvination is, how it works to improve egg quality in women doing IVF, how ovarian rejuvination is done, and how long the effects of the treatment last.
In women that have had poor egg quality in previous IVF cycles, ovarian rejuvination, can improve egg quality and the number of genetically normal embryos someone can get from a subsequent IVF cycle.
If you've heard of PRP injections that people do to improve injuries, this is the same type of treatment except the PRP is injected into the ovaries!
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. The PRP is actually from your own blood!
Your blood is drawn, processed, and then the PRP is injected into the tissue being treated. In this case, the ovaries.

Hello doctor!! I am from India. I have 47x chromosomes and age 40 my amh level -0.66 my doctor prescribed me to start treatment PRP treatment. My question - after PRP TREATMENT, WHEN do IVF that time some eggs will have 46 chromosomes instead of 47x chromosomes?
Hello. My smh was 1.14 in September when I had great iron levels and somehow I was just tested and I’m anemic and it also dropped to .46. Could this just be due to age in 6 months? Or can low ferritin be the cause of my amh dropping so much?
I have noticed my AFC/AMH to be better when I have good iron levels so who knows, could be related or not. Certainly what helps is DHEA, Vitamin D, Omega 3, and Ubiquinol. Your best shot at raising AMH is PRP though. It did wonders for my ovaries at the ripe old age of 42/43.
I have 11 points oh hb.. My fsh is 2.99...amh is dropping.. Its 0.045...wat shuld i do.. No doc is able to help. Me.. My usg scan is normal
What about preimeopausal women. Over 50 years old. Can this work?

You could boost your egg health with NMN+TMG beforehand but it's difficult to find in the USA because they're trying to make it into a prescription drug. It must be third party tested and stored correctly. The reliable US brand is Renue by Science but they may have stopped selling NMN temporarily until the FDA make a decision on its status. Failing that Do Not Age from the UK now ship overseas, but check the customs costs. If you buy too much at once you'll have additional charges. Do your research on NMN and recommended dosage.

PRP can ABSOLUTELY be done without an upper age limit. Patriarchy, low research funding for women's reproductive studies and social conditioning are the usual culprits.. NO DONOR EGG REQUIRED thank you!

Great question. Based on our talk with Dr. Merhi, it's hard to say until there's a bigger sample size.
