In our country (national healthcare) they don't test embryos for genetical abnormalities, they only do morphology. How would you gauge our chances for a kid with down or turners syndrome. We are 37/36. No history of problems in family. But our friend had hers tested in another country and out of 8 extracted cells, 2 died, 2 had low grade, 3 had down syndrome, only 1 embryo was worthy of transfer. Would you say no to procedure at a clinic that does not test genetical material?

Hello I’m 45 years old I have six kids oldest is 26 youngest is 11 years old. I tested my fsh and it’s 5.64 can I still get pregnant naturally with normal periods? I had a miscarriage 5 months ago I was 11 weeks pregnant. I didn’t want anymore babies but after the miscarriage I want another baby. Does my fsh sound good I tested 6 days before my period?

Egg and sperm donations should be donated or not sold. We have kidney donations, liver donations, and other tissue donations, and it is illegal to take money for those, so why these two cells are different? if male and female cells were donated not sold then people would be responsible and we wouldn’t end up with 20 or more people with the same genetic material. Plus “anonymous donation” doesn’t exist. With so many DNK websites a child will find out their biological mother or father, even if that person would not give his or her sample to the website his children or other relatives would, and anonymous will become not so anonymous. On the other hand, a kid deserves to know his other haft, for the reason that during the teen years when identity crises hit a kid struggles, and if a heterosexual family hides the fact that he or she was created from a donor egg or sperm a kid starts imagen the worst - that he or she resulted of mothers infidelity and that is a hurtful thing to go through. Some compensation for lost day wages the procedure day and travel expenses should be, but that would be just compensation not money for genetic material. A gestation carrier is a nanny's job. Like any nanny, she has to protect the embryo from any harm and make sure he or she will be healthy which means the right intake of protein, fat, and carbohydrates avoiding sugar, alcohol, and some food plus excises and spending time in the fresh air and even in the perfect pregnancy it is a job, but if, especially with multiples, she has to do bed rest, she would not be able to work and gestation nanny’s job is the only income for her.

I had two transferred about seven weeks ago. 4AA and 4AB. On my first ultrasound one had no yolk and the other had no heartbeat. Both equally bad. I’m hoping the second ultrasound I have Tuesday has better news.
