@@MainNoise yes nothing complicated for Thomas and for anyone who is really good in playing guitar, but it's more than complicated for a mediocre guitarist like me.
@@undiscoveredcovers7072 it is indeed complicated for good guitar players, this man's writing is very unorthodox (notice the weird as shit chords and how often he goes all the way up and down the neck of the guitar at very high speeds), plus their songs feature constant tempo and time signature changes. They may not sound that overly complicated but I assure you its difficult and complex as hell
@@jeffminor4235 try listening to blood brothers or Dillinger escape plan.. maybe fear before the march of flames as well.. tfot is unique and is my fave all time band.. Thomas Erik is the greatest musical genius of this generation!!
@@jeffminor4235 You HAVE to listen to Hail The Sun... especially Elephantitis. Their later stuff is a little less chaotic. Also At The Drive In if you haven't already!
This is an amazing performance. The guest bass player is unreal as well even with his few vocal parts. I dont know why I havent listened to more of these guys over the years.
@@burnln2718 Can't say for certain but that was around the time that The Fall of Troy broke up and Thomas was trying to get things moving with Just Like Vinyl. I think the guy that Thomas sold the guitar to would be in the comments of Thomas's twitch streams so I think they're still friends and stuff.
Any chance you can get the video in wich Thomas plays Caught Up on an acoustic guitar but hes high as a kyte and randomly starts singing Bangalo Bill? It used to be on TH-cam but it was deleted ages ago
The complexity is way beyond intricate. 1000 riffs in a single track
This is: The Fall of Troy
Nothing complicated tbh! Maybe is only when you hear it for the first time/times🙂But this is just default Thomas styling

@@guillimakiyeah idk what the poster is going on about, this is standard for Thomas but that doesn’t make it any less insane
IMO, the best 3 piece bands this genre has to offer
They might just be the best 3 piece band anyone has to offer anywhere ever
Is there any other band like this genre. I mean straight up like sound style and groove. Maybe mars Volta but I haven't heard anything like them

At the drive in and volta!!!
The AI upscaling for the video didn't do so well here but considering this came out of a 360p video I'm still impressed.
Oh my god I didn’t realise he played and sang?? My respect for this band was already through the roof this is actually god level type skill
fr omg i just found out too, i knew he was an insanely talented guitarist but i had no idea he also sang
Someone edited Thomas Erak's wikipiedia page said his occupation was "God". I checked back a few times, it was left like that for a while.
You want to know something crazy? He's an even better drummer.
It's why I still consider him one of the best around to this day. Dude shreds while singing and holding up the entire band pretty much. Incredible
To play and sing this at the same time is mind melting…
Will never forget seeing this live at the firehouse in Redmond, WA to an audience of about 30 teenagers. Think it was like 2007
Gosh!.. Really? Never know about that! thx m8
Как же перестать их слушать... Невозможно. 5 лет уже без прерывно. Помогите!
Совершенно не случайно. Как по мне, это самый андеррэйтэд музыкант сегодня

Я тащусь от вступления этой песни
This the funkiest shit I’ve ever seen 3 people do since Exit Stage Left
Check out the band Hella
@@1SELFIEplslove Hella! but they are less funky than Fall of troy. More chaotic/math
I keep coming back to this set. So sick. @mainnoise, thanks for keeping it alive.

Muchas gracias! Son mi grupo favorito
Praise God
Just amazing!
Probably one of the last times he can be seen playing that double cut of his. I think he sold it in 2010 or '11.
Do ya know why?

Do you have the other song they did in this session
As far as I know, they also did chapter 3 and Nobody's Perfect, but I don't:(
It makes me extremely depressed no one really talks about this guitar is he is insane .
