Before ginger island was introduced, the pan was almost completely useless. you were better off getting your ore from mines or skull cavern
Catching legendary fish from a pan is crazy!
I had no idea it was buffed this much!! Finding a lucky ring from panning in 1.5 took forever, glad it will be easier now!
I always keep my pan on me and have gotten SO MANY lucky rings. Also Iridium ore is only 1%? I feel like I get a lot of iridium from panning.
She said right after theres an added 5% chance per level of pan, I'm assuming that means an added 15%, so 16% chance for iridium ore?
I’ve also found shimmering spots in the desert pond!
I didn't realise the pan could even be upgraded untill VERY late game in my 1.6 playthrough. It turns out Clint doesn't show pan upgrading as an option unless you have the pan in your inventory when visiting his shop... apparently, on your head doesn't count as in your inventory, doh!!!
If fishing legendaries is an issue for you, but you're already in endgame, a combination of Blessing of Waters from Statue of Blessings and Curiosity Lure makes it easy breezy
Don't sell extra Legendary fish raw: Smoke it, than sell it with Angler and Artisan profession Bonus
Or cook them into delicious samshimi!
With the smoker now, if you have artisan each iridium legend is worth 42k. Every time that Qi quest comes up I take it with the bait maker and a smoker to the mountains. You can make crazy gold in a day

I feel like the legendary fish thing was unintended. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being patched out

Could "Prospector" become a viable career choice in Stardew Valley now?
I'd say no... but for players who have a lot of trouble with skull cavern it's a source of iridium. Seems good for casual players.

Thanks for this video! I always loved panning and was wondering, how good the fisher perk was. This video gave the answer. Also, I don't consider panning overpowered because you need to collect a wide variety of fish for the fish tank and before 1.6, the reward for all this hassle was really meager.

Can it be placed on the players heads? OMG, I always leave that tool out to save space, but now I can use it, thanks! o.o
Never got a lucky ring on 1.5, now i have like 7 on 1.6. The pan is great now!
Can we get a legendary fish ponds? If so I wonder what they'd give and want for quests.
Can you still pan up legendaries after you catch one normally? They are usually only one per save (besides the Mr. Qi quest)

Wouldn't it be possible to pan for crimsonfish during the night market if you're lucky enough for a panning spot to spawn there?
I never liked the device because I almost never saw sparkles in the water let alone sparkles that my farmer could actually reach. Maybe now I can give it another chance.

How does the spawning another spot work exactly? Can it spawn anywhere on the same map?
I've only had the extra spot activate once to my knowledge, but I'm pretty sure it always spawns on a water tile adjacent to the tile the original panning spot was on.
@@overforest1195 Pretty sure I've had it spawn further while panning on Ginger Island (IIRC there's a sound cue so you can tell if another one spawned)
Don't sell the legendary fish!! Smoke them first and boost dat profit up to 2.8x!
Actually it stacks with artisan and fisher/angler so the boost is closer to 4.2x with those

a basilisk paw. It's one of the new trinkets from combat mastery. That one prevents debuffs.
