Hi Guys! Thanks for all your videos! I am very interested in a video about altitude adjustment. I have the same heater and am about to go up to altitude don’t want to get clogged up!
I guess we will have to make a video about this process. But heres a quick run down... This will only work if you have the same remote/controller as us (which has three buttons on the bottom of it the look like this ( < enter > ) First you have to unlock it: To unlock it you hold the Left button untill the screen starts flashing, then you hit the enter button untill you get to the screen that looks like this (- - - -) this is where you enter the unlock code which is 1688. To enter that, you have to hit either the < or > button to get to 1 then hit enter then < or > button to get to 6 hit enter ... until you get 1688! Once you've done that you can change the fuel to air ratios. I have a table that i follow but i dont know where i got it from. If you tell me what elevation you are at i can tell you the P/HZ values that i would set it to. But lets say your going to 6000 ft... I'd set the low P/HZ value to .8 and the high to 2.3. Leave the air RPM the same!
Another solution I’ve seen was mounting the diesel tank under the front hood - I think that was on a sprinter though. Since I’m going to have propane for my stove, I am leaning towards a propane heater - 2 flammable elements in my van seem slightly more manageable than 3 😅. Any reason you chose diesel over propane? Is it less expensive to fuel or more efficient? Thanks! I’m really enjoying your build series! Happy travels!
We have seen other van’s with the heater located under the passenger seat and decided it was a good use of the space there and we wouldn’t have to find space for it in our cabinets 😊

Propane heaters produce a decent amount of moisture which we didn't want and the Chinese diesel heater is way cheaper!
I appreciate you sharing. :-) How did you decide where to install your diesel heater?
