Great video. Beautiful country and lanscapes. I regret, that i will have no occasion to travel this beautiful route. Greetings to Greece from Poland and Polish railway fans.
@@sidirodromeas in my opinion on this beautiful route should operate some touristic or retro trains. Here in Poland we have some nice mountainous railways routes wchich were abandoned and destroyed.

Beautiful memory! I had the pleasure to ride on an IC train from Athens to Thessaloniki on a beautiful summer day roughly 20 years ago. It has been a bit scary so high up in the rocks, but what an impressing line! Sadly it is gone forever. Does anyone know what they are doing with the old track, tunnels, bridges? Thank you Peter! Good news fro you... the line is open undergoing maintenance for months now. Two daily trains will continue to serve the Tithorea - Bralos - Lianokladi line once maintenance completed :-)
@@sidirodromeas In 1989 I have been working on this line for 4 months leading the installation of the digital transmission PCM systems for OSE. I have many nice memories from that time... hard work but in beautiful scenery, and good cooperation with OSE people, especially communication manager Panos Tzivaras from Lianokladi station. Every week I have been travelling between Lianokladi and the office in Athens. The views from this line I remember were so unique, that I will never forget them. I would like to come some day back and have these views again. Are these two trains daily Tithorea-Lianokladi operating as of 2022? I would like to recommend this journey to other people loving Greece.
According to the OSE website there are still four trains per week running on this line: monday & saturday morning train 1521 from Lianokladi (dep 6:24) to Athens (arr 9:24), and friday & sunday evening train 1520 from Athens (dep 19:21) to Lianokladi (arr 22:26). Weird timetable, but at least there is still a chance to experience this line. I guess those trains are intended for weekly commuters working in Athens and returning home over the weekend.

@@maciejjungst1507 Thank you so much for such a nice comment and memories of yours. Unfortunately there are no trains yet.
such a beautiful ride, fantastic video.

This was a wonderful journey. Great scenery and lovely bridges and tunnels. A pity no station names or that we could understand. I look forward to part 2.

'On a clear day, you can see forever.......' Beautifully filmed video, nice scenery. The only detraction is "wind noise". Nevertheless, thank you.......

@@sidirodromeas Why don't you experiment with small pieces of foam over the mic hole?
Thank you @@michaelwuest9944. I have experimented with everything!!! At these speeds, in a very windy day as this, nothing works. I even tried to modify the camera th-cam.com/video/s19iCmiSQGE/w-d-xo.html but the noise, although reduced, never disappeared. Of course there are many other similar cab rides in other channels without this annoying effect. But are taken either by the drivers (who do not talk in the video) or music is used instead. I did not have and not like these options. When the camera is held outside is the most difficult thing. I found a solution that I am going to test next time and hope that works...

Thank you very much Florian! We do hope this route to become a railfans / tourist attraction in the near future!

Very beautiful images once again, I love your mountains !!! In France we hardly have any more of these beautiful little single-track lines which crossed the countryside, the French State is removing them one after the other for the sake of profitability and we only have the TGV which crosses the country to 300kmh. Sad and ugly at the same time.
Bravo for these beautiful getaways!
I love your comments Larry, thank you!!!
What speeg is at thirsty first -thirsty third minutes?Very interesting.
Distance from Bralos railway station (at 27:53) to Lilaia railway station (at 32:45) is 9 Km approx. So, the speed is around 110 km/h
Along mountains so fast...
Not really. In the mountains (Trachina - Asopos - Bralos Rail Pass) the speed is less than 60 km/h
It seemed to me the speed was more
Part 1..... what happened to part 2?
