Maybe you will believe what they say when you experience living in BGC even for a short time. Lots of bloggers are wanting to visit Manila and the islands because of all the TH-cam blogs about the Philippines. I’m from Manila who migrated to the US in year 2000. I’ve been amazed with all these TH-cam contents about the Philippines islands which I haven’t been to all my life. Metro Manila had been developed and a lot of infrastructures that it had become beautiful and modernized for the last 20 years I’ve been away. Local and international cuisine are available everywhere now. Lots of new malls, too. Filipinos are speaking English because it is our second language since we use English language in school. It is really cheaper in the Philippines as long as you don’t live in luxury and it is your choice that matters. It is more fun in the Philippines. Lots of recreation. You will not get bored.
The Egyptian medical student finds it expensive in the Philippines maybe because of the tuition fees, medical books, school supplies & tools, etc. I think he was not referring to the basic living expenses like food, clothing & shelter.

PM2 is a menu in a restaurant called Mang Inasal. You should try it too
"PM2" in the fast food called "Mang Inasal" is a grilled whole chicken breast with rice and drinks. You can choose to order a single order of rice or the unlimited serving of rice.
mang inasal is everywhere in our country...its a chicken barbeque and if you want to order just say pm1 or pm2....
Egyptian men thought it was expensive because of the conversion of currency as of now Philippine Peso (Php) to Egyptian Currency (EGP).
1 Php is equivalent to 0.56 EGP. So if he rented a condo in BGC amounting to Php25,000.00 to that was Egp13,936. So that was quite expensive for him.
If you're from middle east country u'll find it a little more expensive but if youre fron us or europe its more cheaper.

Living in Metro Manila/ BGC/Makati is more expensive than living here in Montreal. But if you already own a place is kind of cheaper since you're not spending for accommodations.
For Foreigner is cheaper...but for us Filipino it's expesive
If you're earning dollars yes it's very cheap here in our country ..but if you're earning peso and minimum wage earner it's very expensive..that's the advantage of the foreigner...wishing our currency will be as high value as the dollars

Technically, BGC isn't in Manila. It's in Taguig. Manila is a couple cities from Taguig.
They can actually scam you with the taxi meter by adjusting it, or they will take a longer route so you will pay more.

Why study "mefical course" in the Philippines? Am sure, the very first consideration is that THE COST OF EDUCATION - particularly medical & science-related courses ARE MUCH CHEAPER than in your country, Egypt. Andbthe standard of education - particularly in state universities and top-rank universities are at par with other countries.
