Great video guys!! Such a great topic and heaps of facts and things I didn’t know!!! I’m defiantly going to try and do my part!!! :) I love trains and here in Nz we have a few electric cars which is good but our public transport isn’t very good..!! It’s good that airlines are trying to do there part in forest conversation etc!! :)
Great tips as usual! Like you, we have no intentions of completely giving up air travel, but it's always good to consider alternative, more environmentally friendly options when available. We have an autonomous, fully electric shuttle that is being tested down here in St. Pete right now. We are hopeful that these will become common in cities all over the world before long! It's so true that the change won't happen overnight, but if everyone can start by just doing a few little things (like ditching the plastic water bottles), it will go a long way!
This is very important information!! I really like the tips about taking other transportation to limit flights beteeen destinations. Plus, flying just takes so much time at the airport and stuff that trains and busses can be faster. We have been trying to use more reusable products and eat less meat as well 👌
Thanks and totally agree! :) Trains and busses can be much faster. And great to hear you are trying to use more reusable products and eat less meat. Great steps :)
Nice video guys! It's so important to keep these things in mind so that we can start to take steps to travel more sustainably. Good on you guys for putting these tips together, these are really helpful 😄
Besides spaceships haha. Trains and buses are definitely a good tip especially within Europe, we loved train travel there. The last point is also so important and we bought a renewable bottle when we began traveling last year to cut down on waste.
We're trying to plan out that balance and travel more eco-friendly this year and moving forward. Great tips! I love that you guys provided statistics. One tips we try and maintain is to look for hotels with eco-progressive programs, and leaving the Do Not Disturb sign up if we have to stay at a hotel.
We were so excited for this video when we say the title! Thank you friends for giving us such great info and inspiring us to travel more sustainable. So cool that battery operated airplanes are in the works. So cool to learn about how they suck carbon out of the air. Covid-19 definitely had us traveling slower haha 😂 one country 3 months haha definitely felt like we lived in Japan.
Well this comment just made our day! Thanks so much. We’re happy you were excited about the topic and interested in these tips 🥰 that’s awesome you want to be more sustainable when you travel too! Seems like you are off to a great start, with your minimalist travel lifestyle and long stays in places in Japan!!
That is a lot of CO2. I love trains. I recently had a great trip by train. I use to rebuild classic cars. I like that the electric option is now available. Carbon capture is a great new option. I think North Face clothes are made from water bottles and recycled plastics. They are pricey but I got some great light weight pants and a great combination style raincoat and cold weather coat from them. It seems to last well. We went vegetarian. I did for health reasons but I suggest it. Great suggestions. Safe travels!
It is exciting to think about the possibility of electric planes in the future. You are right that it's hard to stop flying completely (assuming you want to travel).. time restraints with travelling around a full time job means relying on faster options like planes. If time were no limit I would love to travel overland by train more. Some great tips.. many of the waste reduction tips can be applied to day to day life as well as travel. Great video guys 👍
Great tips guys! Electrical planes would be amaaazing 😌 hopefully some day soon! If we had proper trains and buses in South Africa, we’d definitely use that over flying!
Definitely sticking around this channel... my husband and I love traveling we plan on vlogging when we go places... this channel will be very informational for us.
Great video guys! Mentioned a lot of points that a lot of people, and me on some of them, don't know! Now I know what I can do to help out i'm definitely going to start doing more of these things! Great share guys xx
That's great how they are testing out electric buses here in California! Actually, most of the countries I have traveled to recently have placed an emphasis on a more sustainable way of living, encouraging everyone (travelers and non-travelers) to use reusable water bottles and grocery bags. I do like the reusable produce bags. I have really dry hands and struggle with getting those plastic bags open as well!
What a cool idea for a video guys, this is so important to speak about. "because you cant make people small" hahaha you guys are so funny...! Tomorrows air is such a cool initiative, We didn't know about these sorts of options, love your tips about eco friendly travel especially the clothing option.
As full time travellers we avoid flying where ever possible for so many reasons. Awful for emissions, expensive and the most awkward type of travel; airlines make it so unfriendly with forcing you to squeeze things into different bags or purposefully making it difficult to understand each individual airlines baggage policy so that they can charge you extra. Also flying makes us feel physically worse than any other type of travel. We love it when we can hope on a boat or a train instead takes so much stress out of travel. 😊
The Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has erupted nearly every day since 1983 and has a C02 emission rate of 8500 metric tons per day. Tell me again how not flying will have an impact on carbon emissions 🤣✌🍹
Well the more that we as individual consumers decide to fly less, the more that will put pressure on the airline industry (which is responsible for a good chunk of man-made carbon emissions) to make bigger changes in sustainability faster. So while your decision to not fly won’t reduce carbon the amount of carbon going into the atmosphere, a more collective decision from travelers to stray away from flying will lead to much faster innovation from industries like airlines and cruise ships who risk losing customers if they don’t innovate
Have any other tips to help people travel more sustainably? Feel free to add them in the comment section here! Thanks for watching!

That's cool to hear a fully electric shuttle is being tested in St. Peter right now! That would be great if they work and they develop more soon :)

Amazing tips guys. We need to apply those tips in our next travel

Also as a veggie, Happy Cow is the best when travelling around!
We are really excited to use it more when we pick up travel again! :)
That's awesome to hear you try to avoid flying as full time travelers. Agree, flying can we awkward and uncomfortable at times too.
