Exploring the STUNNING La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Costa Rica

- This week, we take you to one of our favorite destinations in Costa Rica: the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. La Paz includes not only some stunning waterfalls, but also features a wildlife sanctuary filled with some of Costa Rica's most iconic and beautiful animals like the jaguar, macaws, monkeys, and much more.
Located about an hour drive north of San Jose, the La Paz Waterfall Gardens Peace Lodge sits in the midst of beautiful, lush mountains that cover much of Costa Rica. The current entrance fee into the park is $49 per adult ($33 per child ages 0-12). While spendy, the park's large area will keep you and your family all day and allows you to see some of Costa Rica's most beautiful creatures much closer than you would in the wild. And unlike most animal enclosures, La Paz only gets animals that have been recovered by the Costa Rican government from people who are keeping them illegally as pets, or the animal is in need of rehab, so your money is going to a good place.
Our favorite part of the whole experience at La Paz, though, was definitely the walk down to the waterfalls. The paths were easy to navigate, and the result of our trek down was getting to see 5 stunning waterfalls. The waterfall path is an absolute must-see.

This place looks gorgeous! Humming birds 😍And that slow frog was pretty mesmerising to watch! Love the loudness of the falls. Happy to see this place was as amazing as Rachel remembered! If we are ever lucky enough to visit Costa Rica this place is definitely on the list now.

Oh wow look at those birds!! I can't tell you exactly why but I LOVE SPIDERS! I am always amused by them lol Wow, the lunch area is so nice, right in the nature and the food is looking very good! Such a nice walk to the waterfalls too! Rachel you are so cute and genuine, your excitement reflects on screen!

I've wanted to gonto Costa Rica for a long! This is definitely on my list of places to visit. The waterfalls are so pretty and I love the greenery. The animals would be so cool to see up close but I would not want to see the spiders... especially in the wild 😐 Your lunch looked pretty delish too 👌
