I am definitely one of those people that fall asleep right away on an airplane! I typically sleep throughout the whole flight. I prefer the window seat even though it may be a hassle climbing over people to use the restroom. Relaxing before a flight is always a good idea. It's nice to have a nice meal and a drink before take off!
The fear of flying is real for so many people and I definitely have family who suffer from this. I have noise cancelling headphones and I take them everywhere. I recommend Bose 35 II.Dramamine is good for motion sickness but it will keep you awake. Offline gaming, offline movies downloaded from Netflix, and reading can help. I love flights with free movies. Thanks for all the tips! Safe travels!
Great recommendation - we love noise cancelling headphones too :) Gaming is a great pass time in addition to movies, music, and reading. We sometimes bring our Switch on fights and it's really fun
hey guys great tips here im actually afraid of flying and use alot of these tips to help me i usually go for a big run the day before or a few hours before to make me relax and get tired!! i also use the music one and the friends one always have to have someone beside me to talk to and take my mind off!! nailed it guys great video!! :)
Great tips!! I can be a nervous flyer too, especially with turbulence for some reason. It helps for me to say to myself (peace within) while I am doing my mindfulness breathing) or “bumpy road “ meaning it is just like riding on a bumpy road, it is proof that the air is underneath supporting the wings. My children had the gift for falling asleep as soon as the plane rolled done the runway. 😊. A woman I didn’t know years ago told me she was a nervous flyer and would it be ok to hold my hand while we were taking off. It made me feel good to help someone else.
Oh my gosh really? 😍😂 that was so sweet of you to hold a random women’s hand to help her through her flight anxiety. I bet she really appreciated it! And I’m jealous your children have such a gift of falling asleep. We wish we could better 😉
I'm an anxious flyer but because I hate sitting in crammed uncomfortable spaces. So I try to book seats with extra leg room and we also like to try to get seats that are only 2 together so one of us get the window and the other get the aisle (when possible). Love the rest of your tips, very helpful!!
Headphones are a must for flights, love a neck pillow too. I saw a guy a few rows up from me so stressed recently on a flight, he was so anxious the whole flight (5 hours) I felt so bad for him and wanted to help but no idea how. I’m a handholder for landing and take off too!
Love that you are a hand holder too :) And oh poor thing! Yeah, I once sat 3 seats over from a nun who had her rosary out and was rocking back and forth praying the entire 8 hour flight. Anxious flying is so rough.
We're not really nervous about flying but we don't really enjoy a very long hours of flying haha, so yeah some musics and movies help a lot! but yeah great tips guys and heard about Melatonin too, apparently it's great for light sleepers.
These are some great tips. I, Seth get a bit anxious with commercial airline flights myself. It isn't the heights that bother me, it's definitely just the feeling that you have no control in a giant tube full of people. Small planes or helicopters have never bothered me. I'll have to try the talking to people one, that should make it smoother! Cheers guys!
I used to be very nervous, and I still get nervous at times especially when there's a turbulence but alcohol definitely helps me to overcome my fear 😬 I love window seat for short flights but for long flights aisle seats are the best 😉
Great tips guys. I like listening to a meditation, I wish I had better luck sleeping on planes, but I (Jamie) typically cant sleep. Interesting you like to have a meal before flying, I dont like to fly with a full stomach but always bring my own snacks (so I dont get hangry 😊)
Listening to meditation on a plane is a great idea! Thanks for sharing that! :D And yeah that's so interesting! For me, the more I eat the happier I am - on or off the plane haha
Great tips guys! We've been on many flights with first time nervous flyers and ended up chatting with them a lot especially before takeoff which is the most frightening part for most. Definitely nice to not think about it too much then because once you're at cruising altitude, i sometimes forget I'm in an airplane less turns less potholes on the road. Also sitting in the middle of the plane, inline with the wings helps prevent nausea as you don't really feel the movement of the plane which would help someone be less aware of the plane
Never had a bad flight with turbulence but I can imagine myself getting anxious if it was to happen! Too many flight crash investigating shows that makes flying very off-putting. One way to reassure you that driving your car is 100 times more dangerous than flying 👌 also, definitely agree with noise-canceling headphones. Worth while spending good money on a pair 😍🙌
That's awesome you haven't experienced bad turbulence!! Very jealous. And yes, TOTALLY agree that investing in a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones is worth it! :D
this helped me so much! thank you for letting us know that it’s okay :)) i’m sure my fears of flying are more controlled listening to this video! keep up the vids
Great tips guys. Love having a meal before and during the flight. Adam likes to have a few drinks before we fly. Definitely love a eye mask to try sleep 😅 love the comfy goods to make it better.
Great tips - thanks for the share - we personally can't wait to get on a plane right know. What we do is have one drink before boarding and we are always fine. :-)
Awesome tips guys! The only issue I have with flying is motion sickness 🙈 so I’m the one sleeping from take off to landing 🤣 (except when the food comes 😅) Craig on the other hand would probably live on an aeroplane if he could, he looooves flying! He hardly even sleeps, so he doesn’t miss out on the experience 😂
Aw, that's so cute that Craig loves it that much! Ben LOVES it too! I'm the anxious one - but oh poor you. Motion sickness on a plane sounds rough. Happy you are able to sleep to make the time fly bye! :D
Have any other tips for nervous flyers that you can share? Feel free to add them here in the comment section!

That's amazing!! I wish I could fall asleep that easily right away. Goals! haha

That's fair! Long hours of flying gets very long and old sometimes haha but thank goodness for good music and movies :)
This is a great video! A lot of people have to fight with this fear.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!

That’s totally fair! Yeah talking to strangers can be a great pass time and who knows, maybe they’ll appreciate the distraction from flying too 😅☺️

Hahaha I get it! Nothing like a glass or wine or something to help clam those nerves :) I agree with your seating logic too!
