i’m not sure if anyone has already said this but for dark academia and thriller book “They Never Learn” by Layne Fargo is one of my most favourite books ever. it’s amazing. also morally grey but in the best way. i can’t recommend this book enough honestly
for sapphic vampire novels i'd recommend two very different books. "good enough to eat" is written like a contemporary romance, swaps between the girls - a vampire is trying to give up drinking blood and she meets a girl at an AA meeting, shenanigans ensue. as well as "thirst" by marina yuszczuk, which is way more of a poetic book about death that swaps between the POV of a vampire who is woken up by a woman after hundreds of years - i love how it's written. and also i hope everyone reads "fly with me" by andie burke, contemporary "fake" girlfriend story between a nurse who is scared of flying and a pilot. love your channel!
gay + dark academia + thriller / psychological describes my favorite book of all time Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth! A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee could also fit the description
have you read Six Times We Almost Kissed (And One Time We Did) by Tess Sharpe? It doesn't fit with any of the prompts but I very much enjoyed it. Slow burn, (slight) enemies to lovers, forced proximity. the story outside of the romance was really interesting, the characters were great and it explored some pretty interesting themes like illness and grief. I thought that it'd be a simple WLW romance but turned out much deeper imo
Vampire lesbians: The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomez Pink Pony Club Vibes: The Harlem Renaissance Mysteries series by Nekesa Afia (starts with Dead Dead Girls)
they also have a Carmilla retelling called Carmilla and Laura by SD Simper and I hear it's more romantic and focuses on the controversial, provocative themes 👀
I just finished Dead Tide by Jane Marks and thought of you. Somehow Kindle keeps helping me find sapphic mysteries to read, the best. My top 3 Haley Cass books are Down to a Science, When You Least Expect It, and Better Than Expected. I'm really looking forward to The Snowball Effect, which is about Surton's friends.
Ooh putting some of these on my list. I’ve been on a sapphic romance kick, especially those with well written sex scenes. Gotta recommend A Family Affair by Harper Bliss and Part Favors by Erin Mclellan. There’s a nice mix of tension, should we/shouldn’t we, but with emotionally mature characters.
I have been watching you for a while and I love your videos ❤ thank you for giving us all the lgbtq+ book recommendations and reviews that you do. I've gotten my gf into a few books that you've talked about and she enjoyed them ☺️
For lesbian vampires, An Education in Malice is a retelling of Camilla set in the 1960s and it's very dark academia as well! S T Gibson who wrote it is bisexual and also wrote a Dowery of Blood which is sapphic at times and it's told from the point of view of one of Dracula's wives!
LMAO Yes! Carmilla was also a big part of my queer journey! I remember reading it on some pdf like forever ago and watching that webseries 😂😂 Also for spicy I LOVED On The Same Page by Haley Cass and the sequel novella The Next Chapters. Those books aren't like super super spicy but the spice that's there is sooooo good! It's a best friends to lovers trope and had me feeling giggly, giddy, kicking my feet, crying, laughing! My fav reads of 2024 although there were a lot of typos that bugged me but the content is great!
Do you have any recommendations that are roommates to lovers that are not her royal highness. I read that book and needed something similar. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations! Thx!
Oh and a rec for a spicy book…Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas. Did it need to be almost 600 pages? No. Is there some iffy stuff going on in the background…sure. But the smut was so good and hot and ngl I wish Penelope Douglas would write more than just this one f/f book
Imma ask anyone here, anyone know a slow burn wlw fantasy romance? I want them to be affectionate in the book but no explicit smut scenes cuz it makes me uncomfortable
Thanks for the video! Haley Cass is my favorite sapphic romance author, she's amazing. You should definitely dive into her other books.
I 100% agree, I need to read them all!

Thrillers but gay:
They'll never catch us by Jessica Goodman
You're not supposed to die tonight by Kalynn Bayron

LAST NIGHT AT THE TELEGRAPH CLUB AS PINK PONY CLUB ILL CRY

welcome!!!
I’ve just found ur channel and I keep scrolling to see ur posts and I’m yet to find one of ur vids that I don’t want to watch immediately
For lesbian vampires I would add Ex Wives of Dracula by Georgette Kaplan. One of my favourite books ever.
Do you have any recommendations that are roommates to lovers that are not her royal highness. I read that book and needed something similar. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations! Thx!
Bit late to this video but do you have a recommendation for a small town romance?
Oh and a rec for a spicy book…Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas. Did it need to be almost 600 pages? No. Is there some iffy stuff going on in the background…sure. But the smut was so good and hot and ngl I wish Penelope Douglas would write more than just this one f/f book

i’m not sure if it qualifies as slow burn but i’d recommend The Honey Witch
If it’s sapphic books and youre mentioning bi sapphics as well, please use the sapphics flag instead of lesbian one, it’s very misleading
