Man, Bryan is my favorite flatpicker, and that’s saying something. So many incredible pickers out there, but Bryan’s music sensibility coupled with his technical ability is truly a treasure. Beautiful guitars Bourgeois. Nice job hooking me.
Absolutely, but one thing i've been finding out more and more when it comes to world class musicians is there is always one more name to add to the list. I recommend you check out Carl Miner.
@@bjornegan6421 my discovery since this summer, mega inspiring guitarist. His touch and composition are out of this world. I hope he will come up with a record or something
@@basschouten976 I'm in the same boat. His touch really is something else. Until he releases something under his own name, i'll be listening to the demos he does for TNAG.
the slope shoulders are the best mine was my 2nd guitar i got in 1995 it is from 1993. one of my favorite guitars loud and plays as good as when i got it. dana also built me a country boy in 2001 that is really nice as well
Sure glad he finished with John Hardy. Because the moment he started playing it, my MacBook began smoking. The second lead part caused it to explode. Damn fine playing, Mr. Sutton!!!!!
There are a lot of good flat pickers today. There are very few that have the depth in musical knowledge that Bryan displays. In addition, his right hand technique seems to be one of the most efficient methods I have seen.
This is what is meant by the proverbial "wall of sound". Fantastic music and musician, inspiring--and I don't feel bad about that I'll never even touch an outer edge of Bryan's sound.
Brian is for sure one of the best. In terms of taste and incredible sense of touch I think Kenny Smith is one of my favs. I also really love Kim Hurst’s style of playing. Very original.
The Slope D was the first Bourgeois guitar I ever played and boy did it make an impression. As a poor college student it was way out of my price range at the time but I am now the proud owner of an AT D LSH that is an absolute beast. Nice picking as usual Bryan. See you on ArtistWorks!
Wondering what the nut widths are on some of these, 00 for instance? No one really chats about these when talking specs but so important. Thanks ahead anyone who anwsers.
He sounds "fingerstyle" to you because one of Bryan's main contributions to music is his profound knowledge of the "crosspicking" technique, which makes it possible for a guitar to pick up intense note speed and regularity, making the guitar competitive with the tempo of a banjo. BTW this is why this D150 is being called a "banjo killer". It can sustain huge pressure on the bridge and is tremendously loud and powerful, capable of blasting sharp sound at the same speed and attack as a banjo.
Amaizing!!! Sound, song!!! Sutton great!!!
The humility and skill of this young man makes me proud to be a human
That's a good way to put it

He really is the man, STILL! He’s been playin for a long time and doesn’t seem to have lost his speed and technique.
Bryan Sutton must be at top of the list for everyone that need an acoustic guitar on a record . Damn he is a bad ass - never gets better 😎🤘

@@bjornegan6421 my thoughts Bjorn, Carl is astonishing
@@basschouten976 He certainly is. He is among my favorites. I'm blown away by not just his playing, but his ability to compose.

Great music by a great musician.
That D-150 sounds great, but that Slope D is unreal!! Truly one of the best pickers of all time!! Thanks for a FANTASTIC Artist takeover!!
Thanks Brad! We have some pretty incredible artists lined up for the coming weeks, stay tuned!
i have the twin to the original banjo killer
@@dabeaudoin78 I've got a 2014 short-scale Adi-topped Banjo Killer custom and it's an AMAZING guitar!!

17:12 where's my whammy bar?? Great stuff! cheers Bryan, really amazing to watch you play
That Banjo Killer... wow... so direct, loud and punchy, but still so dynamic in Bryan’s hands.
Just great to see him play these Bourgeois guitars. That said if anyone should play those pre war martins and keep their history alive it’s this man.
Sure glad he finished with John Hardy. Because the moment he started playing it, my MacBook began smoking. The second lead part caused it to explode. Damn fine playing, Mr. Sutton!!!!!
Badass picker! New to bluegrass, been a metal head all my life. Found out about you playing with Billy Strings.

Love Bryan Sutton and would love to have one of those guitars ...

Always a joy to watch Bryan play. 🤓🏴👍🎸
Good gracious... how does Brian Sutton have that much control over his guitar
Love that old timey music .... great playing :)
It's hard to find good things about a pandemic, but this is truly something amazing. Thanks to all for putting it it on.
Bryan is great. Many different collaboration's he's done. Great sounding guitar.

I seen him and Kenny Smith at a bluegrass workshop pretty awesome both together
Enjoying you playing so much!! What brand capo if that, it seems to stay in tune when you move it..thank y
Wow, is just about right there Bryan.
Fantastic, thanks to Bryan Sutton for the great interview and awesome pickin!
Why have I not already subscribed here....

The legend!!
The best! Thanks for sharing all this great stuff :-)
A great rendition of "Been All Around This World", thank you.
Wow, what a treat.
Love the Decision at Glady Fork improv!
Wow that second guitar D150 sounds just incredible
Unbelievable flatpicking. World class doesn't begin to describe it! Those double stops (e.g. at 8:40) OMG
BOOM!

The standard nut width on our 00 is 1 23/32"
Where is gonna be his next stream?
Very Nice!
Would you say you play flat pick or fingerstyle?
Bryan is known most for his incredible talent in flatpicking.

Great stuff 👏. Which guitar was used on the home spun DVD? It too was killer
Bryan plays a D-150 on that DVD
I guess He was looking at lyrics sheet?
what song was that in B?
Can you give us the approximate time in the video?
