This is absolutely AMAZING! I’m so glad CGI live action cartoons (thanks to the Sonic movie), are actually starting to be more like this, I know this is totally unrelated to this video but does anyone remember Zaboomafoo? I made a comment on Defuctland’s video about it, (but from the CGI 3D tribute to the female lemor who played Zaboo in live action), but if they ever made a reboot, Zaboo HAS to be like this, it would be better than the original creepy puppet and he would be more true to his original self in the cartoon segments, but also looking like an actual Lemor in live-action with the Kratts looking more believable like he was real, pretty much though, EXACTLY like this as a concept, it would totally work like this and it makes PERFECT sense as the show was mixed with live-action and animation (Zaboo was a puppet but STILL), honestly, if PBS doesn’t ever attempt this maybe you could, I can only IMAGINE how cute Zaboo would look like this with this amazing technology, and it would be so cool if you could attempt it similar to this! 😊

i personally don't know why everyone hated the live action one
in my opinion disney did exactly what they were supposed to, make our loved cartoon movie to the new upgraded live action one
they made it realistic because that was the whole point of making it live action
similar to the jungle book
but the edit you made was also absolutely amazing

It’s not about the cartoony style, more so that the models lacked any real emotion. I could get more emotional expressions from real life cats versus the cgi movie. Yeah they were doing realism but they forgot in real life animals have their own set of expressions and it just feel very inorganic. Not to mention the music, they completely ruined this song for me with the singer not being able to hit notes from the original movie, nor give the powerful emotions that we all felt from the og. I feel like yeah this video was a bit too cartoony (this is an ai editing it anyway, if Disney actually animated it I’m sure it would look better) but the real movie was too “realistic” and just inorganic.

I like both versions: the 2d and 3d versions. They each had their own charm and flaws.
Biggest flaws of the 3d; they left out the most important line of dialog, and there could have been a LITTLE more emoting.

personally i think if u mixed ur version with disney’s version, then it would’ve been perfect, realistic with emotions. i wish that they went with the same approach they did with the live action jungle book, i loved how they did the panther in the remake

I really don't think it would have been a good final result. The new lion king remake movie was made for realistic purposes and animators took so many hours, months, probably years, to do it. I really don't think that some flashy red hairs can fit a realistic savana environnment, it looks... Weird. Also for the eyes and smiles !

However it would be pointless because if the remake was made this way then why not just simply watch and stick to the 94 film(my #1 film of all time)???? The remake did what it supposed to do right?? Be a live-action...photo-realistic animation documentary take on the film like the Jungle Book as Jon Favreau as said he would do, and he did....
There are expressions in the remake, it's all in the body language, eyes, and mannerisms(Although it's not communicated the same way as the OG). Sure it could've been a bit more expressive in the face. If you'd went into this remake expecting the same level of expression as the 94 film, you'd set yourself up for disappointment. Yes the 94 film is better 10/10, but that doesn't mean this remake is a bad movie. Some things worked, some things didn't work.
Overall the remake is good for what it is and supposed to be.

Thank you! I actually liked the remake, and thought it was impressive how they were able to make it so realistic while still being CGI. Shows how far CGI animation has come :D I also found people's complaints about the lack of expression to be very exaggerated, I was expecting a lot worse based on what I'd heard.

@@EpicWolfy98 right? I really don't see what everyone's problem is with the remakes besides *nostalgia* *goggles* .
So far I've liked all of the remakes, except for a few, but they weren't my favorite movies anyway. Even then, they improved on movies I DIDN'T care about.
For example; I wasn't a fan of the original Sleeping Beauty, Pete's Dragon or Dumbo and I ADORE the remakes - I think they really improved on the overall story.
(Also. No longer horribly racist)
The only exception would be the Jungle Book. Didnt care for the original, and the remake wasnt one of my favorites. That said, it was better then the 2d version, in my opinion. And again, because they fixed some errors from the dated story.
Same with Aladdin. Not the worst it could have been, but it was definitely trying to pull the 'feminist' card a little to hard.
Wish they got someone else to play Genie, but hey - not bad.
To me, they also IMPROVED stories I already loved.
Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast were beautifully done. Even explaining and giving more backstory that was in the books. (They're, technically, more accurate to the original stories in the remakes)
If you like the remakes, awesome - we'll get along fine. If you absolutely HATE them just because 'all new things are bad' , just go back and rewatch the old ones. Remakes did NOT delete them, and they still exist.
