You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you for not editing out any difficulties. It encourages me to keep trying new things; as I had some difficulties and was getting discouraged- but not anymore! Thank you
When you do the lace with a row counter it makes it easier because you always know you are ready to do the wrap row because it is a five row pattern. It will always be on 1, 5,10,15 etc. You do a video so much better than I ever could. Thanks Shelley! The wrap is 2 needles so all machines work as the number of needles are divisible by 2. I write patterns for circular sock machines and this is called an ewrap. It was invented back in the 1800's for the vintage flat bed knitting machine. We have one and it was in the original manual. I learned the ewrap from Kim Garver Appalachian Sock co.
I am so blessed to have found your channel Thank you so much. Tho we haven’t met I feel like I know you like a good friend. Thank you for being just you 😊
I’m learning so much from you! Your videos are so well done and so easy to understand. Of course, I dropped a stitch right when I was doing my last row of the lace 😂 Thank you for working so hard to give us all these videos right before Christmas!
This was great to watch, I can't to get my machine and start my first project with you. I just love a good hobby. You explained everything so clearly. Thanks
I just got a Sentro and found your channel while looking for Wonder Knitter tutorials. I think your explanation was so clear; your way of marking the machine to make counting easier is genius.
I think this pattern would also work beautifully for a full double knitt hat. Plain knitt for the inside and pattern for the outside and then maybe roll up the plain knitt for a rim. And a pompom on the top.
I love both my Sentro,s 48 and 40. Especially Caron Simply Soft are great in the machines. Mine is quieter than yours! And have never had issueswith the counter. Maybe just luck, but I.m happy because the Addy is not in my budget
This is very elegant....would it be possible to make this on an Addi 22? My customers aren't super big fans of the wide headband. thank you for being a great teacher and easy to understand, I will put this pattern on my winter work list! Thank you so much!
No, you can it make this on the 22 needle. This isn’t a normal end to end headband that you usually make. You can make it as narrow or as wide as you want it to be on the 48 or 46 needle. It’s dependent on row counts. This particular style isn’t as wide as a normal headband would be on the 46 or 48 needle. It’s constructed differently.
Oh, Cathy, r u going to Be doing a tutorial on a full scarf with knit 4 wrap 2 needles? Please notify me? I might try it. I am new at using my addi and excited.
Just a tip if you are worried about the waste yarn coming out you can always just take it off with a normal hat cast off & then it won't come undone :)
A normal hat cast off allows you to cinch the end closed. I don’t want a gathered end. I need to easily see the stitches for picking up. Not sure what cast off you are meaning. 🙂
I am sorry, Let me say it a different way.. Do the waste yarn & then instead of just spinning it off, pick up the stitches like you would with a hat. :) @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet

Love the design, just about to give it a try… just to be clear. It’s 16 rows of regular knit, 4 pattern repeats and then end with 16 rows of regular knit?
Not one that I have seen. It wouldn’t be authentic to her if it’s on her channel. It is a stitch I learned from a member of my FB group who learned it through sock machine knitting.
My guess is that it is not your sentro. It’s the yarn you are using, the tension you use and the speed that you knit. The one that affects it the most is the yarn choice. Go buy a Caron Latte Cake, a Bernat “Premium” ball or Heartland yarn and see how they work for you.
If you don’t like the white needle as the last on the Sentro and want to make it number one, why can’t you swap the white needle with the pink? It would be less confusing.
I’m not confused at all. I can’t see the little numbers on the sentry anyways so it really wouldn’t matter where the white needle was. The numbers are so small. 😊
very good instructions.

I don't have a Sentro, can I do this on my addi 46. Thanks
@@johannaames4097 you sure can. I believe I mention that at the beginning of the video but no worries. Enjoy!
Is there any reason that a crochet closure would not work on this project? THANKS!
Only do it if you add a ch 1 between each stitch or it won’t stretch.
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet makes sense!! Thank you for the response!
My pleasure. 🥰
What If I do not have a forty needle? I only have the forty six needle addie and the 22 needle addie
I used a 48 needle Sentro. Use your 46 needle Addi. It will be perfect.
I am new to this but I am soaking up all I can do you think this can be made into a scarf and beanie
Absolutely it can. I will do a beanie soon.
Thank you so much I will be watching for it also will be joining your Facebook group. ❤
Wonderful 😊
How many rows all together...
You will have to watch the video. It’s all there for you.
I must have done something way wrong,, i swore i sewed it up the same way you did but i have zero stretch.. in mine
If you have no stretch then yes, something went wrong. There should be equal stretch as the rest of the work.
