44 years ago, I spent 16 days as a 12 year old on my grandpas boat traveling from Lighthouse Point, FL to the Bahamas. We went to Bimini, Grand Bahama and a small really cool island named Walkers Cay. Best summer ever. Fishing and snorkeling every day

First rule about barbecuing, you never talk about barbecuing. JK. Never use briquettes always use lump charcoal and never use lighter fluid always use a Chimney Starter. I found Nails metal rubber tires in barbecue briquettes. And your fish won't taste like kerosene if use a Chimney Starter. I think I found out why you guys always pan fry your fish. Get yourself a top end pellet smoker/ Grill. You will not be disappointed with how well a pellet smoker does everything. You can fry bake Grill smoke you name it it can do it and it all adds the Smoky flavor to everything you do. And they're automatic and Bluetooth nowadays. This is my favorite TH-cam channel so start making two videos a week and make them longer.

That “alone” feeling you get whenever you cross the Gulfstream, or (for us in the Northern Gulf) do an overnighter at the floating rigs 120 miles from the nearest land, is hard to describe. It’s amazing, awesome, a little bit spooky, & exciting, all at once.

The landscape and water is gorgeous. A lot of unanswered questions for me though. What is the minimal sized vessel that should make this crossing? How much do they cost? How much did you use/spend on fuel? Exactly where did you depart from and exactly where did you arrive? How long did it take? Granted there are variables to consider. I too would like to know about any regulations regarding drones....in the Bahamas. An otherwise enjoyable video.

One piece of advice..I wouldn't advocate leaving the helm completely at 30 knots in a smaller boat. 3 of us almost went for the big swim when an autopilot failed 40 miles off NJ and it hard over-ed both engines years ago. The thought of watching that boat just circle us would've been a darwin moment. Hope trip was good

You are welcome. By the way the best temperature for the ocean water is exactly 77 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit at the ocean beach and the same way with the best temperature for the swimming pool water which both have bacteria and germs.

One of the nicest things about living in Palm Beach County is that It’s only about 50 miles to the Bahamas from here We usually make the crossing with two or three other boats

Hi guys, just subscribed! If u ever hear a need by other subscribers, I would love to hear more little steps of crossing to Bahamas such as what you bring with you, safety stuff, emergency gear, would love to see how you actually plot your crossing course, and any others? I think my biggest fear would be running aground??!!! Heard a lot of bad stories, so any great info like that I know I would appreciate! Thanks and keep up the great videos!

Wow! This was a superb video! It made me want to hop in the boat and head over there right now! If the folks in charge of Bahamian/Bimini tourism haven't called you to offer a boatload of money to partner with you on an advertising campaign, they should. Excellent work and a fun viewing!
