  • In this video we are fishing one of the big lakes in Mississippi. It's early in the spawn and the fish are just starting to run shallow. The lake is low so the crappie are confined to what little structure there is. We hope y'all enjoy and we appreciate y'all watching.

Releasing the females doesn't necessarily help with numbers.. Releasing the larger males that protect the fry is said to produce more success from the spawn.

Thanks for another good video. I like the way you share the fishing and filming. Maybe do a video where you share the filleting, frying, feasting and fun.

A guy in Texas (grind terminal tackle) makes some of the best stringers I ever used with a quick release sheath so you don't have to tie and untie every time. All the wade fisherman in Texas use them for saltwater cause there shark proof and don't rust out! It'll be the last stringer you ever purchase, just make sure you also buy the quick release spike sheath for your waders

What pole length and setup u using? Is that a 1pc or 2pc pole? What reel & line are u using?
Im wanting to get into wading for crappie in the shallows just need a couple good locations to start at Greneda Lake, Ms

We use 10 foot BnM’s 2 piece poles. Really like the Bucks gold or brush cutter BnM makes. We use the BnM mini reels on them. 10 or 12 pound line.

Any places good to go at Grenada Lake? Wanting to start wading but just don’t know the lake or where to start catchin the slab 2.5-4lbers. Just don’t want it to be a bust first time out. You know. Any places would be nice.

What knots are you using to tie to your line? Loop knot, fisherman’s knot etc?
