Dude i need to come fish w you boys on sardis or grenada. Im just down the road west of yall. I wade darbonne, bistineau, and cypress lakes in north La. Im having hell finding them piled up together lately they been really scattered 1-2 here & there. Yalls video fishing them ditches was great. I've NEVER found em that stacked before not nowhere ever. Good stuff. Yall should come west 1 state its 50 a man limits here with no minimum size.
Haven't waded in a few years, used to do it at Sardis lake when the water was up and flood in the backwater in the trees and brush. I done got amped up. New to your channel.
Man this looks as fun as can be. I’ve heard of people doing this for years but I’ve never tried it. Looks like I need to make a trip from Florence to try it out!
Are all these fish spawning or do the fish stay up in these areas post spawn too? Just wondering if they like the cover and might hang out there after they spawn rather than going deeper?
Not trying to invade your area but is there a specific water depth, temp and location for a first timer to try this at either Sardis or Enid? I have been wanting to do this for several years but have never really wanted to just "wing it" since I would be driving over 2 hours each way and would make it a day trip.
When we get multiple 50 degree nights in a row and day time temps stay around 70 it’ll be time to start wading looking for them. Depending on the water level of the lake when you go you could be looking at fishing ironwoods and cypress trees or structure on the edge of ditch banks. Being your first time I wouldn’t get in too big of a hurry to go. It’s still early right now. Wait till about the second week of March, keep an eye on the weather, watch for those temps, and give it a go.
Yes you was right you did bring another video this week thanks very much because I love watching y'all catching crappie's
We call it stump knocking in GA! Nice load of fish!!
Nice! Thanks man!

Get back out there! Fishing is good right now.
Sardis, Arkabutla, Enid and Grenada are great lakes to wade.
They are very good.
I do my walleye fishing first mid March through April then my crappie fishing in may
Looks like a lot of fun, just as long as there aren't any gators in those waters lol.
We’ve never seen one where we are. Thankfully

My Dad and I were just talking about doing this he said he used to do it at Arkabutla back in the 70s he liked it until he would see a snake
We love doing it. We really don’t see as many snakes as you would think but we run across a few
How far is tha place from Arkabutla? I live up in PA but i have a friend that lives in TN and everything time i go to visit him we go fishing there
Not far at all

They are spawning. After they spawn the males will stay shallow for a little longer but eventually move back to deeper water.

What jigging rod are you using? Got some back bone
I would love to be out there in the mud with you. But be careful an alligator don't sneak up behind you looking for an easy fish dinner.
Luckily we have very few gators in our area. Definitely crosses my mind when we are in the water though.
Are you tying a loop knot or you Palomar knot are y'all using B&M poles
Boy that water looks muddy where are U fishing
WHAT LAKE??
Do your catch crappie year-round
I live in Toledo Ohio
Are yall using hand tied or plastic?
We always use plastic.
What rod and reel are you using
BnM Bucks Gold pole and BnM bucks ultralight reel.
