Came back after watching Nerissa's short about how she writes English lyrics. You really do have a knack for creating incredibly good lyrics that hold the same message as the original AND having it fit so well with the original song structure, as you demonstrated with the chorus in the short and how "Give ME your LOVE" lines up with "a-I-shi-TE" in the original. I recall when me and a friend were watching your debut live together and I told him "There's no way, she's doing Aishite, Aishite, Aishite? AS HER DEBUT COVER? That's insane" but lo and behold, you absolutely knocked it out of the park, and continue to do so. Truly the Demon of Sound 🎼
I really like this translation. While the original is about a child wanting love from their parents, this one is like a toxic partner helplessly demanding love for their own self-gratification, aware of hurting everyone and themselves in the process. It's very adult and fits Nerissa's voice very well.

It's exceedingly rare that I find a cover- let alone a translated one- that I actually like better than the original, but this is impeccable. The use of indirect translations with the same meaning to achieve a better vocal tempo and balance is perfectly done.

Hmm. Nobody will read this, so well. When this song first came out, I was actually beyond amazed at how raw and just awesome it was. I kept listening to it again and again, and I really like getting lost in music like this cause it makes me get into little worlds in my mind, let the creativity unfold. Music makes me experience things, and I'm very glad to have that ability. But when I showed it to others, all I got was stuff like 'oh nice'. That's not fair, this isn't 'nice', this is amazing. You really do have a knack for creating incredibly good lyrics that hold the same message as the original AND having it fit so well with the original song structure, as you demonstrated with the chorus in the short and how "Give ME your LOVE" lines up with "a-I-shi-TE" in the original. I recall when me and a friend were watching your debut live together and I told him "There's no way, she's doing Aishite, Aishite, Aishite? AS HER DEBUT COVER? I really like this translation. Its so good at establishing an overwhelming emphasis on the obsessive, _narcissistic_, _*__psychopathic_* state of this character.
I could go on about the instrumental part too, the music theory behind this is absolutely top tier but I do NOT have that kind of time, or any sleep

The other interpretation is that a girl demands love because of the cursed collar she wears and as she grows older the curse gets stronger making it so that no matter how much love she receives it leaves her unsatisfied.

I still can't get over how good this song cover is. The English lyrics sound so smooth and work well with the song without losing the feel and meaning of the original. The key of the song was also well-adjusted to fit Nerissa's voice perfectly. The vocals, mix, art, and movie are just so amazing. Such a great job from everyone who worked on this. Hmm. Nobody will read this, so well. When this song first came out, I was actually beyond amazed at how raw and just awesome it was. I kept listening to it again and again, and I really like getting lost in music like this cause it makes me get into little worlds in my mind, let the creativity unfold. Music makes me experience things, and I'm very glad to have that ability.
But when I showed it to others, all I got was stuff like 'oh nice'. That's not fair, this isn't 'nice', this is amazing. Nerissa is an amazing singer, and this song invokes such wild emotions in me. But now, I feel like this song can only make me imagine a wild beast, chained down and caged. I feel angry when I listen to this, just cause I had myself caged by those responses. My mind has locked itself away. That sucks.
But this song is awesome. I still love this song. It's that negative emotion I hate. I'll keep that dumb beast locked up. Nobody will read this either. Good.
