The vocal range of Nerissa is crazy, because it's not just hitting the higher notes. It's hitting the notes in such a clean manner, it doesn't sound too sharp or grating.

@@chung1250 You wont get popular with just a vocal range though(American Idol winners where?) you need a banger song. Vocaload got robotic voice but guess what producers created lots of banger song for it so it became big. With how Suisei releases her first two banger songs (even though she's just a poor indie) like Comet and Tenkyu you already know she got a knack for good songs. For Nerissa time will tell if her original songs will be a banger(not just good) or not.
Someone told me the least important aspect of singing is volume, and that people fry their voices by applying too much volume before getting the technique down. You should be able to find your notes with a whisper, or a hum.
Nerissa is an example of what I would call "clean singing", in that she is clearly putting technique first, which also happens to be the best way to preserve a voice. Generally, when a singer sounds sharp and grating, they are frying their voice, or just yelling.
@@Nomans_Nomen Agreed. This is most evident in live performances where you can tell vocalists are really straining to hit some notes. There is a certain vocal quality when singers hit those notes with ease that just can't be achieved by average singers even with studio magic.
That's why I not only like Nerissa's voice, but I also respect her as a vocalist because you can just tell that she is a damn good singer and put a lot of effort into proper training.

shes up tgere with kronii, the diference is shes more uobeat, like a great champagne, sweet and energetic. kronii voice is more deeoer, heavier. kroniis voice is like heavy choco oudding, deep, heavy but extremely sweet

Hearing this cover I already recognized Nerissa's singing skills but this specific part was something else. When hearing the start of 2:21, I already knew she'd pull off a high note but what made my eyes widen was 2:24 when she went even *_higher._*
Erm, that part is either extra processed on purpose, or it is simply using studio magic on the tone. Vibrato was not involved, it was simply a sudden spike in pitch. Nerissa has a killer voice and can hit very high notes, but not in that progression.
@@Chpow01 how are you so sure? not disagreeing, genuinely asking. I've heard her in karaoke twice and at this point if she was able to do something like this in person with no processing, I wouldn't doubt it.
@@corncobbob2326 So, I sorta looked at it in this way; There was no breath, the breath would have allowed her to reset, as it were the pitch she was singing, as she did not take a breath, but went up in pitch, there would have to be a steady rising in pitch as the aperture tightened... In this case it sorta just shot up. I don't have audio software to take a closer look at it, but I would bet there is little to no curve when the pitch spikes.

@@polkalamypekopeko2969 number 1 for me. Nerissa by far got the richest, juciest and most balanced vocals. If only Risu would free herself and open up.. That would be tight comparison. When Risu sings it feels like she destroying herself, same with Kanata. Suisei is more playful, but physicaly underdeveloped. Nerissa feels free and open. She playing with her vocals so confidently, naturally and smoothly. It is honestly, mesmerizing. Truly a sound demon. Not the best singer in the world ofc, but still, damn good.
Nerissa really has an incredible voice, she's hitting these high notes so effortlessly and she makes them seem flawless!

Her immediate presence with music makes me very interested in the collab covers she will inevitably do. At the minimum I'd expect her to work with Calli, Suisei, Kiara, and Marine, but if she has the enthusiasm she might be able to get some of the more hesitant to join her for collabs.
