I don't watch anime or vtubers, but I stumbled across Gawr Gura singing "Jingle Jangle Jingle" a couple of months ago and now I'm tumbling down the rabbit hole.

ngl, gura's voice has this warmth to it. Her singing theses songs is really good for if u are having trouble sleeping due to stress or health issues. It kinda sounds like she's right there singing you a lullaby, making you feel like it's okay to rest.
exactly, and that's why her singing is my remedy when I'm feeling stressed, anxious, sick, or going through a depressive episode. She always makes me feel better

Shork does it all, she's definitely the best vtuber there is. She will go down in legends.

now now - calm down a little -i hope that she will be a generation defining digital entertainer but she does a tad bit to little originals for her to become on paar with someone like sinatra or michal xD - then again if she were to go for more singer song writer og songs instead of corpo quick money covers or chart appieling song, it might be more rememberable - then agina there are so many unknown singer songwriter artist that also have beautiful voices and also just dont have the platform to present the more niche songs (like there are alot of medival themed songs but oyu will never jsut accidently find them@@nathankronew3434

somehow some songs form singer songwriteres that generally aready have like heartfelt melancholic sound to their song get extreamly amplified by like these cutesy higher pitched voices i wonder why ?
I mean, Gura is just a super talented singer with a great jazz/folk register and really strong technical instincts that have since evolved into full on professional singing technique. Especially since she spent time in Japan training she's achieved pro-level skills that she hasn't had a chance to really show off until her recent singing stream where she was transposing her vocals on the fly and using really refined breathing and voice techniques. It was actually kind of shocking because she's always been talented as an amateur, but seeing her advance to the point she's at now means she's unlocking her full potential which will be cool to see as they develop over the rest of this year and on.
@@longhorsestudiosI’m waiting for Gura to release a song that’s more along the lines of this genre. While I enjoy the music she has released, they haven’t really taken advantage of her voice’s greatest strengths.
Putting aside @longhorsestudios point, professional singers often are tuned to perfection, and lack a natural "raw" tone, giving them something of a plasticyyy quality.
Aside from this you get into the "halo" effect, when we make one assertion about someone we form many similar ASSUMPTIONS, i.e. if someone is good looking or tall we often assume they are good natured or smart.
So when we hear a soft "ultra feminine" voice something like Gura or Fauna it's easy to assume that they are fragile, precious, lovely, kind, etc. and when they sing about sad things this factors in with out own baseline beliefs of the character and the impact is magnified.
@@longhorsestudios She still sounds amateurish though, you can't compare her to a professional vocalist. She doesn't sing off key but she doesn't really have technique.

I love her voice, she puts so much emotion into these songs. Often listening to her karaokes I take away some meaning that I hadn't got from the original versions. I'm glad there's so many compilations on youtube, though I also wish she'd just put out like, a gura sings the classics album or something.
True, but that would probably require her to do proper "covers" of those songs rather than just informal karaokes like this - probably a lot more work, especially if you get copyright and licensing involved... (´;︵;`)

I first found out about vtubers when I stumbled upon pikamee's viral 'let's kill da ho' minecraft video but it was gura's cover songs that placed me deep in the rabbit hole during the pandemic.

I first time hearing Gawr Gura, and her sing have a warm vibe, reallly love this playlist, thank you so much.
This reminds me of my Vtuber phase. When Nyanners just started Vtubing and Gura was newer and I loved watching streams and hearing them sing. Kinda sad this time has come and gone. Bit thanks for this video
