I mean, Gura is just a super talented singer with a great jazz/folk register and really strong technical instincts that have since evolved into full on professional singing technique. Especially since she spent time in Japan training she's achieved pro-level skills that she hasn't had a chance to really show off until her recent singing stream where she was transposing her vocals on the fly and using really refined breathing and voice techniques. It was actually kind of shocking because she's always been talented as an amateur, but seeing her advance to the point she's at now means she's unlocking her full potential which will be cool to see as they develop over the rest of this year and on.

Putting aside @longhorsestudios point, professional singers often are tuned to perfection, and lack a natural "raw" tone, giving them something of a plasticyyy quality. Aside from this you get into the "halo" effect, when we make one assertion about someone we form many similar ASSUMPTIONS, i.e. if someone is good looking or tall we often assume they are good natured or smart. So when we hear a soft "ultra feminine" voice something like Gura or Fauna it's easy to assume that they are fragile, precious, lovely, kind, etc. and when they sing about sad things this factors in with out own baseline beliefs of the character and the impact is magnified.

gura's singing heals my soul. every. single. time. for the nth time today i was so stressed out, i was feeling frustrated and so empty. but i put the music on and fell asleep to her singing. i woke up feeling all better, did a bunch of work and even cleaned up someone else's mess nicely, and a lot more. i was able to perform at my best, all without breaking a sweat, and this was all thanks to gura. her bard powers literally healed me and gave me a buff. i sincerely cannot express enough my gratitude and appreciation for this shark. my best self wouldn't even exist without her.
There were some copyright issues with the cover of Lost Boy she sang, I assume ShinKami Notes just doesn't care enough to resolve it. I know because I faced the same issue.
