Hello. I used to render paint effects with the software renderer just fine, but now (maya 2020) should I convert to polygon to render in software everytime? What changed?
I haven't used the software renderer for a long time so I can't comment on that. As far as I know Arnold can only render paint fx if they are converted to polygons.
if I use Phong material and I can do Arnold opaque then may render result is completely black plz help me because i,m working on big nature scene so i have lots of trees
I tried this several times with no luck until I realized I needed to highlight and assign the node to the selection (leaves) by right clicking the AIstandard surface node.
Any *Office* fans here? I swear this is Toby Flenderson teaching us.
lol realy it is
My cover is blown. I'm not the Scranton Strangler, though.
I hate to admit how much I think about this comment every time I go to record a new video... I will try to be more like Michael.

I’m trying to build a forest with stand in instances. Is there anyway to achieve this while keeping the turbulence attributes?

Well, your tutorial i sreally nice thankyou. But for some reason my leafs are transparent .
you may have to reverse your transparency map (put a reverse node between the transparency map and the opacity attribute in the shader)
@@3dsplanchnic737 Well, I fixed it by changing the leaf map to raw.
@@3dbrasiltutorials495 thanks for the tip. Arnold likes raw!
How do you pan in hyper shade? Using Mac
Same controls for panning the camera - Option - MMB (I think - I'm not on a mac right now)
Thanks
You're welcome

Hi - not sure what it was when I did this tutorial but now I have desktop with an older gen threadripper (AMD) cpu, GTX 1080, and I think 64 GB ram.
