Really love the ending, still trying to hold on to his memories and his hatred for Superman while frozen in place. For those wondering how Metallo still moves without kryptonite, he has an internal battery but doesn't last forever, the kryptonite provides most of the power.
Lex Luthor said that the kryptonite he implanted for him in his chest was the source of his power, also I thought he could move without the kryptonite because of how his body was built, like being able to move and everything like that with his consciousness like in his normal human body.
@@youssefhussein1615 from what I recall from JLU, his body was frozen in place after his heart was removed but still could talk. Rules were a little different at that point. Course it still depends on how much power his body can last without it. an hour or a few minutes.
@@schowd31 But in this series, they changed him from his human body to his robotic one by well, I guess transferring his mind into a different body, and with no heart as part of him, no nothing, and Lex Luthor wanted John Corbin to change because he implanted a rare disease-like virus in his food while he was in prison, and that's it.
Calvin talking about the kids being taken out by Metallo reminds of that panel of Doomsday interacting with a kid and rescuing his cat… Then Atomized them with a smash and pondered why that felt different than before when he was killing innocent people
This episode honestly is kinda similar to some episodes of Batman TAS where villain have a chance to be better but then he falls into their usual behaviour. I feel like here it particularly shows that even though we can kinda sympathize with Corben because he was turned into this machine against his will, he himself is pretty bad dude who won't change even if he is given a chance and a clean slate
@@petermarvy3218 Well in his last episode, when he turned against his creator Lex Luthor, and fell into the bottom of the sea, he lost his memory on who he was and what he was doing, and his knowledge of wanting to destroy Superman, but then he started to remember after one of those kids gave a creative model of Superman, and he lied to them about where he came from and what his purpose was, and that's it.
It's cool to see them still fawn over S&L and how good it is, they really genuinely enjoyed that show a lot they never gave up on it like other reactors. I wonder what episode they watched wit Calvin I'd honestly watch them react to it again to see Calvins reaction
It was already like that before, in Metallo's first episode "The Way of all flesh" which was episode 7 of season 1 of Superman the animated series, when he learned he lost his humanity, that's not being able to taste food, not being able smell things, and not feeling other things for pleasure like in his normal human body.

@@RufusNasedo Logically I still don't understand why they chose to postpone watching it when it is literally a direct continuation, like a new saga/season but nah we at Blind Wave are gonna stop short until you guys tell us to watch it unlike other shows which we've watched the entirety of without being prompted because it's common sense. In addition they've watched longer running series and/or franchises before yet Ben 10 is the exception (or at least seems to be) for whatever reason. I just don't get it.
@@neuralinferno1765 I understand the frustration there. I have the same thing with movies. They watched How to train your dragon 1, but not yet 2 and 3. It's just their modus operandi. When they personally like things they watch it and continue watching it. If not they do it if enough people demand it. And for this they use their website. I cracked everytime they make the neck snap sound lol
Drink every time Calvin mimics killing the kids 😨
I agree. "Superman & Lois" has been fantastic. :)
11:56 technically we’ve already seen what happens when a villain makes an “island” out of kryptonite…Superman Returns 😂😂
Yep. Though you need A LOT of kryptonite to make that possible as the movie showed.

@@youssefhussein1615 yeah pretty much, he wanted a use of him, so he turned him into a weapon.
Calvin must be stopped before he kills again 😂
The dad scientist was voiced by Ernie Hudson a.k.a. Winston from Ghostbusters
