22:47 Best advise ever. I taught myself ethical hacking, and got employed 2 years later (I was working as a data capturer) by a company that is more in academics and research. Now I am working as a hacker and studying for Computer Science.
just some advice for the black sheep like me that couldnt get into university or coding camps, you can teach yourself everything is out there. Teach yourself and work on as much projects as you can. All you need is an old pc and an internet connection. Im talking from experience. I also have a poor background (grew up in an area equivalent to the cape flats) and my matric marks were horrible. I basically taught myself and got a few projects behind my name after matric and landed my first job at 19. Im currently 25 years old with 6 years of professional software experience (over 3 companies). I work for an international company based in Isreal and almost at that 6 figure level of pay. I work from home so i now work from my beachfront apartment (its always been a dream of mine). We live in the age of information, if you use the tools correctly you can upskill yourself in almost anything for free.
@@lebogangkekana7530 if you dont believe me ask me any question regarding programming. @@boudihma4691 Hey man , ive been working with them since 2022 before Isreal was uncool, but they just normal people with families that actually hate their government for what is going on. Dont associate the private sector with private people just making a living with government affairs. I mean south Africa works with China , and they literally have concentration camps for a certain group of Muslim people. Are we all bad for not stopping SA from working with them ?
I think the point of everyday standup in dev is to just check if you're stuck on anything that you may need assistance on. What tends to happen is some standups drag out longer than they should with certain things that could've been sent via email now there's even less time available to get to the solution. Everyday comms are important though for team culture and cohesiveness
one thing about the boot camps is that you won't know the algorithms and the paradigms of a computer like understanding the concept of a computer like data structure databases and one thing is when you are a university student you get to be very versatile and real companies will need a qualification but i guess one should do what they like
I also enjoy Java a lot, now I want to start on springboot after my Java project. But as for frontend I'd like to take bootstrap coz I struggle a lot with CSS 😂, hence I have no plans of going full on as a frontend but instead fullstack and by God's grace finally do backend 😅. I love backend but who knows maybe I'd find new interests along the way but for now, backend dev coz I love web servers and computer networking
The moment he said "As much as I'm a maths person, I don't like maths" I was like finally someone like me😂😂. I loved pure maths in high school but when I got to Uni I hated, hence I transitioned into applied Mathematics coz it's more clear as to where one can use it rather than pure maths
Hey guys. I know that a lot of people don’t like talking about how much you getting paid. But could you guys do like an episode where you talk about what entry payment is in the tech industry. Coz I think a lot of us here 6 figures and think we’ll start kabo 5 figures. So could you guys like do an episode where you look at different offices/ opportunities in tech and what’s the approximate startup payment for each?
Everyday standup makes us slaves when you don't make progress on something during the day you steal your time because you don't want to be embarrassed especially in a team where you have people who are not engineers.
Can someone recommend best/Top uni's which are kinda more Practical than being more Theoretical when it comes to Computer Science 🙏🏾💕Like which universities are the best when it comes to Computer Science?I know it's not about the university,it's about the degree which is true, but as a Gr12 learner I need some guidance.
I don't know if I can say it's the best or either Top university but TUT when it comes to Computer science it's very practically based rather than theoretically based
