Revolutionary Ride: Exploring The Candela C8 Electric Hydrofoil Powerboat From Sweden!

We had cruise in a choppy Miami Bay with Sofia Lerm from ‪@CandelaSpeedBoat‬ . In addition to the test ride and a full walk-through of their C8 recreational, all electric hydrofoil powerboat, we had a chance to take the helm and feel the amazing turning radius, stability, and smoothness of this incredible boat. We definitely weren't sure what to expect, although we knew we were in for fun, and Sophie and the C8 delivered. Quite a bit of speed, style, and luxury, in the middle of all this innovation!

Very cool boat. Shows the potential of electric boats in the future as battery tech and cost improves substantially. Reducing drag is a big thing which they have done well

same as a rudder strike, in any boat. although the foil would probably snap off completely which is better than a hull penetration.

I have owned boats for decades from trailer boats, large sailing boats to 50 foot power boats. I/O drivers are more vulnerable than others boat everything is vulnerable. This boat foils will not be any worse than a conventional boat. I think it is great. Shows a huge potential for Electric boats in the future. But I do like the noise of a performing engine
