I owned a Rolex Explorer II, traded it in made some profit and bought this beautiful JLC Polaris 9008180 blue dial. Although I still own a few Rolex watches in my collection this Polaris smashes the Explorer II. Wears much better, sit low on the wrist as it is fairly thin at 11mm and wears so comfortable. You almost forget you are wearing it until you look down and stare into it’s beautiful dial.
I am now converted to JLC. Forget the long Rolex waiting lists for mediocre watches, invest in a beautiful JLC.

@@davidofglenbrook4487 Yes, i know that. At the end, we buy watches that we like, esthetics of them in the first place. I think this JLC POlaris chronograph is beautiful watch, i had in on my wrist. I fits me perfectly. I compared the watch with the Longines Legend Diver for some time. TFirst of all, who actually takes the watch into the water when diving? The screw-down crown actually bothered me. When I use the bezel to measure time, and I do this several times a day, I always have to remember to screw the crown back on. Why does this bother me? Because I could forget to screw it back on straight away and because then it would no longer be waterproof. But it also annoys me that I always have to unscrew them first. And as for the power reserve. Well, I wear the watch all day, so why do I need more power reserve?

Does the rubber strap look integrated flushed with the case? I see JLC rubber strap option for it with a curved ends on the website. The more I watch this the more I want one. But my heart is set on a Reverso mono face large small seconds and a Rolex 36mm Explorer 2021. Eventually I will own all but which one first since the Polaris can be found for $5700, the Reverso for $5900, and the Explorer 36mm (if I get the call) $7000.
