OMG finally! Thank you! Every single blocking tutorial vid I've seen so far has said "block before constructing your garment" but the floor length poncho I"m making is made in one piece! This is the first vid I've seen that shows a full garment. This was SO helpful, thank you!! 💜

Did you knit the sweater you are wearing in this tutorial? If so, what is it?? They both are so cute!!

Ashley, do you machine gentle wash your Lion Bran Re-Spun yarn creations or hand wash them? I have never used the Respun, just the Thick & Quick. Thank you in advance.

Hi Ashley, I just love your videos! Your tutorials are so helpful and easy to understand! I cant wait to try this cardigan.
I have just started to knit your Fall Bluff sweater, and converted to a different gauge using some yarn I already have so fingers crossed it works out!
Going by your instructions I am going to keep going with the raglan increases until I reach the bust measurement of 56 inches
I am using an Alpaca Yarn so its quite stretchy, and knitting for my husband.
One question in regards to blocking with steam (which I think is great)! Once its blocked this way, when you hand-wash after you have worn it, will the shape still stay the same because you have steam blocked it, or will you have to lay out flat to dry after each wash?
Thanks so much again for all your tips and tutorials :)

Thanks for the kind words! Glad everything is helpful and I hope the sweater works out well! Any time you get a sweater wet after it has been blocked, you’ll have to block it again, unfortunately or just lay flat to dry (but it likely won’t return to the exact same measurements) Hope that helps and happy knitting to you!

When you steam bl😅ck a sweater do you need to let it dry and then Steam block the back or is blocking the front enough?

I think it just depends on the yarn! I usually just do the front!

So newb question here but will this steam blocking stay in effect even if you wash and dry the garment in commercial machines?

No….Once it’s wet, it will lose its shape!
