I saw a van conversion which had a shower area that folded origami style and next to it was a toilet like yours hidden under what was a cushioned seating area.

Never made sense to me why people build a shower that takes up such a large footprint for something you only need 10 minutes a day.
A Canadian Van conversion builder said he doesn’t recommend building a shower space since most people just end up using it for storage.
Yes, certainly not everybody wants an indoor shower. Different vans for different folks. Thanks for the comment!
I have a question regarding battery life... that AC unit and that electric heater have to chug through the power. What's the usage/battery life like with AC/Heat on that system? How long can you keep the heat running off that single battery? Can the AC run full tilt with that solar setup and keep the battery topped up at the same time?
Hi there! Yes that's right, if you turn the AC or Heat on for extended periods not plugged into shore power, they will chug through the battery, no doubt about it. Depending on van usage (location, temp, consecutive days away from shore power, ...) a 2nd battery could be added. I contemplated this, but ultimately let the buyer decide. The AC can be pretty efficient, it uses about 18amps on eco mode. And the heater (and inverter overhead) as well draws about 18 amps. Thanks for the question!
