Good review overall, except you have given minimal insight Into the trailer steer system. Perhaps demonstrate what it actually does?
Correction: The technology group, which includes the Head Up Display, LED bed lamp and Rear-View Auto-Dimming Digital Display Mirror can be ordered with the Trailer-Tow Group. You can get one, the other, or both. Also, Limited trim comes in 2wd or 4wd.

Dealerships suck at ordering the trucks they sell. To get the setup you really want, you have to usually special order one.

This really wasn’t helpful or on topic even. You did a review of trailer steering without a trailer to demonstrate trailer steering. Seriously? Oh and by the way that isn’t the naturally aspirated Hemi, it’s the Hemi with Etorque.........
The E-torque is not a hybrid. Doesn't run the motor at all. Just ads torque in the bottom end. Smooths out shifting and stands in for the starter in stop start.

Hey Ben, FYI, the trailer tow package doesn’t include the trailer mirrors anymore. It’s a $445 add-on. That’s why I only got the trailer tow mirrors and trailer brakes added separately.
Hey Pete, do you have the Part-No for the NEW Trailer Tow Mirrors from the 2021 RAM 1500? The one with the 360 ° camera as in the video.

Eco mode isn’t new to 2021 . My Ram 2016 limited has that option .
It can be turned on and off in the settings

Not sure if this one had it but you can get a trailer camera now with the 2021 1500's which should make backing up with the trailer steering a lot easier as you'll be able to see behind the trailer.

I still don't know about the tailgate with the barn doors I guess I'm just not used to seeing it I know it makes it so much easier grabbing things in and out of the back of your truck but are you going to constantly bump into the back bumper and get your pants dirty but I had a Chevy Tahoe and it was so much nicer having the barn doors and the air suspension is nice I have a friend that's all he buys is the Ram truck with the air suspension but I like to either put a leveling kit or a small lift kit on my trucks and with the air suspension it's a lot more to do but the truck looks so much better and that second stage of height you definitely need bigger tires still there's nothing Dodge can do that would stop me from ever buying one I own 3 right now 2001 diesel 04 Hemi sport and 16 Hemi sport looking to get rid of the 04 and get a new 2020 or 2021 Ram have to see what the deal I will work out
Ordered the tech group and the tow group so yes you can get both the key clue is the rear third break light was not LED so that truck did not have the Tech group. You would think as many of these reviews you could have spent 5 min on the configuration on the Ram site to figure that out. Also agree that this one was click bait a few comments and no real demo of the trailer steering. What a shame....
The ram website isn’t always accurate sadly and that’s why I don’t go off of it. I used to work for ram and they would let you configure things, that you couldn’t actually buy.

Etorque is the hybrid engine. It was available in 2019 as well
Hybrid is a misnomer. But the E torque works well. It does have regen brakes. But the E torque motor does not run the drivetrain like a hybrid would. It does control the stop start system near seamlessly.
Is the back up camera on the third brake light required to use the trailer back up assist?

Isn't this the same as the limited review you posted yesterday? Then gloss over the trailer system? "From an ease standpoint it makes things easier"....great insight and a waste of time. Ps....one would think that any vehicle has the turning radius to manage a typical intersection. But hey, gotta milk it right?

Thank you! At least one other person noticed that the video has absolutely NOTHING to do with the title. I was led to believe based on the title that some idiot on TH-cam would be hitching up a trailer to demonstrate the technology but there was nothing even remotely close to a demonstration!
How about instead of turning a knob to steer the trailer they make some sort of wheel that could be turned.
If you cant back up a trailer then practice. Nothing worse then sitting at the boat launch or lumber yard waiting on some donkey that can’t back up.
So, a video about the trailer steering without a video about trailer steering...

EDIT: I wrote that comment above before finishing the video. I have now finished the video and determined this is the worst automotive video on TH-cam. “Is the trailer steering option worth getting” well I still don’t know. You would think with a title like that the person making the video would have demonstrated the trailer steering option??

Nope, love the truck. But, if you need a dial to back a trailer. You have no business hooking and dragging. Learn how to back a trailer.
Except if it's a small trailer that you can't see. Our sea Doo trailer is invisible when it's empty. By the time you see it in the side mirrors, it's too jackknifed to correct. This is where this system comes in handy.

If you can't back up a trailer or boat, then trailer steering won't help you. This is a wasted feature in my opinion. If you can't back it up then don't hitch it up.

Pretty disappointing because I came here for a review of the trailer steering and you really didn’t answer any of that. You basically reviewed the card and hardly talked about the trailer steering. You should have showcased it
A 15 minutes video about a trailer system but not showing any of it for any seconde..
If you can't back a trailer up you should not be hooked up to one.
Hey, if it gives a helper the confidence to back up your boat trailer so you can load your boat on the trailer, could be a huge help. Maybe even save a fight or divorce lol
