I think the best tips for new account aside from rushing Story quest are 1st BUILD MR Mont and Lucio. 2nd Utilize Mog Shop Units like Xiza(bells), Ildyra and Mediena (these units are still good farmers) 3rd Join a guild for guild coin/add friends for coin 4th Dont sleep on PVP (Shadowlyx and Solidus VC are still usable specially with the upcoming Sub VC update) does not matter if you win or lose, what matters is you slowly gain mog coins. 5th Dont believe tier list and enjoy units you like, most units with EX are usable in PvE content. (PvP is not for new accounts, dont even bother being competitive because most players in competitive PvP uses time limited VC you can no longer get 😂)
Best tip for new players: use the right espers with the right units. So check your espers level up board, and if they're giving pierce attack up and fire attack up, and you're using this esper on an earth slash unit, its not going to help. It takes a long time to build resonance with espers to level 10, so make sure you've got an esper that suits the unit equipped and build them to lvl 10 resonance.
My tip... chase your best girl/boy. I simp for Elsirelle even today. Also use your level 99 unit to farm for equipment in Multiplayer. Don't ignore Lucio and MR Mont. They're really good and you can take them to 120 easy. Tip 5 is so important. The game really opens up even with one level 120. I learned that the hard way.
Another tip I'd add for new players, utilize your vis and Gil on the stuff found in the beginner's shop before it goes away; amazing deals, resources, summon tickets, etc you can find in this shop as a new player that will go away before you realize. So maybe look there first for your visiore before going after banners because there are even UR tickets and stuff in the shop to start building a roster early on
I joined in December and it's definitely been a strong grind. I have a recommendation for new players and wish I did this myself. Get a mage like right away. I'd re roll for one even. The AOE damage and the usefulness for gear farming is super important. I'm slowly building my BRH up and she isn't 99 yet. I'd recommend pulling for her. Since you can use her in multis. Early on multis are gonna be your only option for grinding gear recipes and focusing on the mage will allow you to farm and progress far more quickly then say a tank. Use all shards on that unit and try to get them to 120 Also adding powerful friends with ppl who have 120 units this will carry you through those super tough early stages
I'm in the same boat and yes get a mage is the best advice for new players. I started with FFXV and have Noctis and Aranea and realized I needed a mage so I grinded hard for Ibara (who is at 115) and it made such a huge difference in multi rooms.
Im still f2p with multiple urs and pro tip gear mr+ and focus on 3 main urs for events with characters to focus on high cost units like gligamesh black rose helina ruined stern and king mont to start with if you want to be pointed at the broken over power characters that only kinda cost more with tuns of easy shards even still getting all you will thank yourself so much sure event characters can be better but f2p early baby steps beyond that these are good guides that would even benefit a f2p Black Rose Helina Gilgamesh Ruined stern then king mont in that order
Really great advice for new players as one who started nearly a year ago and have gotten a lot of advice from Auronnj's videos this is a great video for new players. Also there are new beginner banners that you will get units/VC free which is nice for you new players. It is only one 10 pull a day, but it is a good start to get you rolling. With the additional buffs to some of the MR units MR Mont especially which is amazing for new players. Great guide AJ!
I'd really love it of you could make a guide on making/upgrading equipment. I like how you explain things. I still don't fully understand how and when you should use those Seal items, Hammers, etc. Also I'm unsure on how to max out stats on equipment that's +5 so I have a handful of +5 equipment that's just sitting around... cause I'm worried I'll screw something up, lol. My additional tip would be add as many frnds as possible so that you can earn frndship coin that you can spend on Mog Shop then look for the Friend shop, from there you can get new units as well as Vision card shards and material. After that go join a guild and earn guild coins every day as well, Guild Coins can also be spend on the Mog Shop to get free Units (Whisper, Xiza, Luartha, Medienna) and Vision Card shards (Golem and Fenrir) plus other bunch of materials such as fragment of thought etc.
I've searched thru your videos and seen you haven't done it...could you make an explaination video on what all of the stats in the game means. Like what is Luck and how does it affect your character. What is AGI,what does Haste do,does Float do anything,what does Faith do. Ive been playing this game for going on 2 years now and i still don't know what 50% of these stats do.

On units...I think the worst thing I see is people saying that you should only spend vis if you have enough to pity the unit. I understand the logic. But...95% of the units I have I did not pity. If you want to chance a unit...go for it. Just as long as it doesn't interfere with your plans down the road of what we know is coming and as long as you're still getting those limited VC's that you need. But like, I know this is rare but I literally still have not pitied a unit. I would have very few units if I didn't give them a shot. So I think like you said doing those 9 steps for a guaranteed reward and a chance...huge. Basically...if someone walked up to you and said that if you give then $10 there's a 90% chance that they will give you back $100 (and you hypothetically knew it wasn't a scam), you would be insane not to do it. Life is full of risks, learn the formula to calculate your odds of getting a unit and if you really want the unit and your odds are upwards of 60-70%....go for it.
I've been playing for almost 2 years and I've never pitied a unit, so I agree with you. Realistically most new players probably don't even know what pitying a unit means. I like the strategy of spending what you can afford to spend on a unit, keeping in mind it will cost 40 to 50k visiore to max out the unit after you finally pull them from the summon.
I'd say don't be afraid to throw a bit of vis after a unit as long a you aren't going broke for everything that catches your fancy. There is also little reason to go all in or save for a normal pool unit. Collabs and limited time units are different though. If you know you really want something, the worst thing you can do is to not be ready to go to ceiling. You often won't literally have to, but if you go anything over say 75 percent, you still went pretty deep. This game hands out UR pulls so much that everyone eventually gets all the non-100 cost units, whether you take a flyer regularly on a banner or not.
This was a very informative video only one thing I disagree with for newer players even at lvl 99 to 115 you can still destroy lvl 120 units with the right vision cards, equipment and espers and can leave them there if you want you don’t have to 120 a unit for a power up reminder Garval even without his EX is Dangerous some of the stats these units get at 120 aren’t even that good tbh or even matter

Best way to gather shards in that case is pick them up in the shop for visiore, swap chocobo mission to whatever element they are on. Pop a whimsy shop everyday when you log in and do your dailies. refresh the shop once a day for free while doing your dailies during the limited time event. And guild barracks will pump out shards everyday even after the event ends.
I just started playing yesterday and man do they frontload new players with rewards... about 1 billion gil, a bunch of materials, and multiple level 99 characters. my first tutorial 10x pull got me a level 99 (maxed limitbreak and ascension) Lasswell. No idea if he is any good though. It took me about 3 hours to get through all the free stuff they give you.

I'm also a new player(a week old baby now) and watched a lot of Auronnj's vids before i decided how to start planning around my account. As he said on this vid don't spread your resources thin on more than one unit per element for now and once you pick your favorites GO BIG and try to focus only on those for now. Pick and choose from the units you have on hand and use the UR select ticket to add a unit you would like to have to diversify your main team. As an example what i'm building around right now is i have only one of each element as a focus for now which are King Mont, Summer Kilphe, Valentine Salire, Lemure and Niv'lu as my 5man team, i got a bit of everything in there. Everyone around lvl 80ish for now and its just one week of just doing story story story. The extra xp/jp/item buff in story mode is wicked good so use it to your advantage. Use vis to buy a couple +5 gear items that your team can equip and shards from shop for those units whenever they pop up, as the other person said buy all the shard tickets from beginner shop and bust them all into your team. Terra seems like a staple for water so if you plan on pulling for her save vis for that and story mode will give you a lot of vis and levels to expand yout friendlist and start aquiring tokens for mog shop units and other goodies. That is my opinion but i think Ildyrra and Xiza from friend/guild shops are the ones we newbies should focus on getting first. Since our UR select ticket can't be used for the 100 cost units if you want a good supporter for your starting team Ayaka is a very solid support for any team. These are my thoughts as a fellow new player but any seasoned veteran feel free call me out if i said something wrong or add any suggestion.
@@Govigian All good tips! Only thing I'll add is Terra will be a fire magic unit, Celes is the water magic tank. For mid-tier plus players, I'd go for Celes, but for newbies I'd say instead focus on hand out Locke. Solid light unit, means newbies can have two parts of a light slash team.
Use your ticket for a more recent UR unit. Ayaka is a good support, but honestly ildyra is just as good and can be obtained for free. Top picks are probably Charlotte (magic tank), V. Salire (dps), Garval (dps), Varrush (wind bruiser). Honestly just saving it for awhile won't hurt either as it will be updated with all the non-100 cost normal pool units and you can fill any gaps you see in your account.

@@AuronnjJayy I think the difference is I have the "Skip Animation" checked on the main summon page, but you don't. So when you pull and you get the animation for book THEN skip, it skips walk outs also. I believe that's what's going on, but someone should confirm lol.

With just that item u can get over 10000jp in one run, and i currently hv 23 keys in just 3days of playtime, meaning u can get 230000+jp for 6 of ur characters ez. currently there is also a x2 jp in story mode, can spam skip tickets.
I got a rainbow team in elements and attack types XD That's why I'm a little bit lost in that area, got the black witch VC so 100% will focus on maxing that one
Anyone who has played a turn based strategy game like Civilization will know this terminology: GO TALL, NOT WIDE And yeah it feels great to focus on 1-3 units, VCs, and Espers... to see them complete and move on to the next one. Gives the game a lot of longevity. I have never felt the pressure to spend on the game and only do it for important things, like waifus.

I did for Golbez. But I got Rosa too. So that made it hurt a lot less
Its all about banners, if you aren't ready to pity don't pull on pity banners. Use your vis on 9-steps, or VC banners or anything guaranteed.

Should I start from scratch and just ignore banners and go for MR units mostly? Oh I just wanna add that I do have Rosa at level 99, 2B at 102 and Terra I just got. I also levelled Cecil to 99 and Mont because he is Mont. Should I just throw it in and start fresh?

Yow sir I'm newbie here I got King Mont from free beginner multi also I use 5k visiore for his Shard dunno where to find his shard and idk who to pick later also dunno cheap support for King month, I saw on yt anive banner will be ff6 so is Terra worth to pull for King month? I haven't use my ur select ticket and shard ticks confuse who to pick
buy everything in the beginner shop.. it's worth it.. you can get mont shard from 50x shard select ticket there..
I'm also a new player(a week old baby now) and watched a lot of Auronnj's vids before i decided how to start planning around my account. As he said on this vid don't spread your resources thin on more than one unit per element for now and once you pick your favorites GO BIG and try to focus only on those for now. Pick and choose from the units you have on hand and use the UR select ticket to add a unit you would like to have to diversify your main team. As an example what i'm building around right now is i have only one of each element as a focus for now which are King Mont, Summer Kilphe, Valentine Salire, Lemure and Niv'lu as my 5man team, i got a bit of everything in there. Everyone around lvl 80ish for now and its just one week of just doing story story story. The extra xp/jp/item buff in story mode is wicked good so use it to your advantage. Use vis to buy a couple +5 gear items that your team can equip and shards from shop for those units whenever they pop up, as the other person said buy all the shard tickets from beginner shop and bust them all into your team.
Terra seems like a staple for water so if you plan on pulling for her save vis for that and story mode will give you a lot of vis and levels to expand yout friendlist and start aquiring tokens for mog shop units and other goodies. That is my opinion but i think Ildyrra and Xiza from friend/guild shops are the ones we newbies should focus on getting first. Since our UR select ticket can't be used for the 100 cost units if you want a good supporter for your starting team Ayaka is a very solid support for any team. These are my thoughts as a fellow new player but any seasoned veteran feel free call me out if i said something wrong or add any suggestion.
@@Govigian All good tips! Only thing I'll add is Terra will be a fire magic unit, Celes is the water magic tank. For mid-tier plus players, I'd go for Celes, but for newbies I'd say instead focus on hand out Locke. Solid light unit, means newbies can have two parts of a light slash team.
Use your ticket for a more recent UR unit. Ayaka is a good support, but honestly ildyra is just as good and can be obtained for free. Top picks are probably Charlotte (magic tank), V. Salire (dps), Garval (dps), Varrush (wind bruiser). Honestly just saving it for awhile won't hurt either as it will be updated with all the non-100 cost normal pool units and you can fill any gaps you see in your account.

I guess it’s a setting, but I skip all my 10 pulls and I still get walk out animations if it’s a new unit? Did you turn something off?
I honestly didn't even know that was a setting I could turn on!
@@AuronnjJayy I think the difference is I have the "Skip Animation" checked on the main summon page, but you don't. So when you pull and you get the animation for book THEN skip, it skips walk outs also. I believe that's what's going on, but someone should confirm lol.
Just what he said. Animation off just mean you skip the book changing moment. The walk out still happens for me.

im new player, can i add JP keys are a must do with the item that gives 1000% bonus jp. With just that item u can get over 10000jp in one run, and i currently hv 23 keys in just 3days of playtime, meaning u can get 230000+jp for 6 of ur characters ez. currently there is also a x2 jp in story mode, can spam skip tickets.
Hmm ima farm and not invest any cause i got decent char for free so ill try focus on study the ability and build making them afficient

It really depends on your account. TBH any VC that you are using on the regular is worth leveling.
I got a rainbow team in elements and attack types XD

Anyone who has played a turn based strategy game like Civilization will know this terminology:

And yeah it feels great to focus on 1-3 units, VCs, and Espers... to see them complete and move on to the next one. Gives the game a lot of longevity. I have never felt the pressure to spend on the game and only do it for important things, like waifus.
