This video was helpful. I just replaced them on my wife’s 2011. One note for anyone with that generation: the mirror doesn’t need to be disassembled…it’s mounted differently, which makes this job even easier.
Thank you for this video that shows it’s not worth trying to pull a used set from a junkyard Prius because it will just break off the yellow-white retention tabs and you’ll also bend the metal framing. I found the same set of weather seals on Amazon with 1-day shipping for $49! Thanks again for a great video👍
A little water always gets inside a car door, such as when a wet window gets rolled down. That's why there are drain holes at the bottom of door. Small amounts are not a problem, just don't want so much that it gets into switches/wiring or causes rust at bottom of door.
Thanks for the video. It was all easy to replace except I had trouble getting the the 'ridge' to connect on my driver side window. I saw in one quick video that he pushed in from the interior of the door (vs. outside) and clicked right into place!
I bought these off amazon and i ordered the replacement the problems is both sets are keep popping out in middle I dont know what to do do you have link where you bought yours if they are good and still holding in spot
Nice job as usual Pete. I cant believe how many ppl I see take their wiper cowl off & not clean all that out. Like u say, wasnt like that when it was new. Hey Pete, so u all done w/the black prius? What did u do with it? Clean it/sell it? Looked like it would really look great! I wanted to see it to the end. Last episode I saw was the spoiler. What u do with these older prii, I used to do w/my old camry. I'd go to a pull n pay like a kid in a candy store. I APPRECIATED my car even MORE bc I made it better or saved money!😁
You should show how to remove the seal and mirror instead of a time lapse. Also, the video is better at 1.25 speed. Thanks for showing the other parts though.

Great Job. Just a quick question. I noticed a small gap on that front window belt ( 7:14's). Is that okay to have?

Thank you, Hybrid Guy! You video was a great help.

Help the hybrid guy
Do you know that we can do when only one of the windshield fluid sprays work? As is windshield fluid only comes out of one nozzle?
Pull them out and clean with nylon brush and a thin pin in the nozzle holes.
Where’d you get the strips ? And would you happen to have the part numbers ?

Mine are still solid. Sounds like your clips are broken or not fastened in the middle.
@@TheHybridGuy the clip that was in the corner or there is another clip in the middle
@@massesbulet there should be end and middle clips
@@TheHybridGuy i just stopped by the dealer and checked by the vin and he told me there is clip only in the corners nothing in the middle
@@massesbulet ah, yes, you can pinch them together so they are tighter
Question can those be colored?

I did sell it. It had lived its purpose in my videos. It was a clean one too. I’m getting a gen3 here soon. Stay tuned!

I wish you showed how the clips go in because all we can see is your back.
I know! Early days for me learning how to shoot video. But it’s easier than you think. Line up the part and push down firm. It will go right on.
@@TheHybridGuy thank you for such a quick response I just ordered them
Timely. My car lived in Texas for the first 10 years of it's life and the seals are cracked and hard.
