1:43:10 The fact that Alexia takes so long to kill Claire that you can even run to her and attack her with the knife before she does, makes me think that the player is allowed to beat the game with the knife by Capcom's programmers.

Well, one of the battle games is literally just Wesker with just a knife and a bunch of mixed herbs so it’s safe to say it is intentional.

Great run. The knife is truly amazing in Code Veronica. I used it all the time as Claire and saved the ammo and cooler guns for Chris later in the game.
I need to thank you for this video. I just encountered the final boss in my first playthrough, and was afraid I'd soft-locked myself due to resource issues. All the way to the end, and soft-locked at the last fight. Man, I was livid. I was prepared to restart my _entire_ fucking game (single save slot, RIP) when I saw somebody mention how much better the knife in this game is than its predecessors. In desperation I looked up CV knife-only runs, found your video, and saved my run by knifing the shit out of that bitch. I've never been happier to see an 'E Rank' end screen in my life!

looooooooool that exctly happened to me, i gave all my weapons to Claire and suddenly I couldnt go back anymore. unlucky for me almost 20 years ago there was no youtube with knife-only-runs, so I had to replay the game one more time, damned

Code Veronica is EASILY the hardest RE game out of the entire franchise hands down, and this guy cake walks it in under 2 hours 😅. Very impressive!

Awesome run. I haven't played this in so long. I remembered most of the first half. Second half not so much. Also I never noticed how bat $h!t insane the layout of this game is.
Imagine i cant finish the bosses even with shotgun some times but you can easly finish the game with a knife.. you are genuis..

They were prototype "low cost" tyrants created in the MTF on the island. They are only prototypes, so it is believed they never sold any or transported any off the island. Alfred set a whole bunch loose after encountering Claire, which is what we see in the 1st half.
One gets freed after the Chris/Wesker encounter on disc 2. That is the only one in disc 2.

I remember having to defeat tyrant with just the Survival knife and it taking me 4 days on the Xbox 360 HD version.

Great job, a lot of time can be saved in this run..i recently ran it with a 1:58.46 thinking about re running the game I can easily knock off 10-15 min
Plenty of time can be saved but finishing a run with no saves/deaths is the hard part

Button mash. You'll have to start mashing before the frames go off, otherwise you get bit

@@jamessunny9440 Normal zombies don't do a lot of damage when biting. And Doc Zombie didn't bite him that much, and he knew when he was in red Danger so he used a healing item.

there not really reverse lol... its tank controls.. you just had to be born in this era of gaming, I love the controls, and can dodge/move flawless with them but I have been playing Resident evil since 1996 so that is probably why lol..

For the zombie doctor, how the hell did you figure it made more sense to get the herbs and trade hits like an RPG rather than to use proper knife fighting? You know you can lure it into making a lunge, run out of the way, 180 turn, knife it in the legs while it's mid-lunge, and it'll fall prone allowing you can hack it like a boss right?

@@benderrama9991 Yes I am aware. EU has PAL version which runs at 50Hz so the whole game is slower. so techically it is easier if you want to go down that route
