Nah it was intentional. Imagine the first zombie scene with 6 naked zombies all taking 17 cuts to kill(if you hit them with single knife strikes it takes forever). I don't think it should have done the same to bosses, but it was intended to hit multiple times if applied correctly. That's why, if timed correctly, you can cut a zombie in the legs once and take them down IF you get a multi hit. Supposed to be a way to help conserve ammo if you work with it ig
It's not possible unfortunately. There's a few bosses which require you to use an alternate weapon (if you don't have a launcher that is) like irving, you gotta use the rockets on the ship if your guns aren't enough and on 6-2 you gotta use a satalite beam to kill excella. I run RE5 and have considered doing this myself.
to be fair tho the linear launcher is the very last thing he uses to actually finish the game. I think that's pretty fair considering that is also the only gun to kill her. Also in re5 you can still kill irving and excella with normal guns.

Thankfully, your ammo is infinite in battle game. so just keep firing at her with the magnum as Chris. (he's the one that has to fight her in battle game) and use the change aim button to keep locked onto her.

Well in battle game you have to rely on your other weapons to kill Alexia 3 as Chris as the linear launcher isn't available to you (until you unlock it by beating battle game with all the characters) So you have to use Chris's magnum and the change aim button a lot. It's very time consuming. You will know when you hit her as blood will come out of her.
Actually, if you pay attention to the fight itself, you can hear the knife hit Tyrant multiple times at certain angles, meaning it's hitting the boss many times and causing enough damage to send it flying out of the plane with ease. So, not fake but tricky to pull off.
I respect u and what u do but u are not avoiding attacks u are getting plowed to use the knife which dissent seem great now if u were to avoid 90% of the attacks I would be super impressed

In the plane I just unloaded the 3 Gas Grenade Rounds on it & then about 12 Enhanced bow gun rounds. Fight lasts only 20 seconds 🤣🤣
I wasted 12 grenades taking the tyrant down the first time you meet him and it turns out it only needs a handful of knife slashes..... impressive
