Damn man, very nice! Code Veronica is one of my favorite Resident Evil games, I believe the fastest I've ever beaten it is around 2 hours.

I think the only RE games that don’t have self-destruct countdowns at the end are RE3, RE5, and RE7. RE3 didn’t have a self-destruct countdown, because it had an incoming missile countdown lol. RE5 didn’t have one because Wesker was too busy watching Chris punch boulders in a pit of lava to set one off. And RE7 didn’t have one because Granny didn’t understand technology.
Dreamcast graphics still hold up 20 years later
Eh I’d say the cutscenes are fine and definitely awesome for the time when this game came out but outside the cutscenes I’d give it a rating of a solid 6 out of 10.

This run does have sins. He used a glitch to give himself ammo he did not obtain with the most powerful weapon in the game. He uses more explosive bow gun ammo than there even is put in the game.

I totally forgot about that trick when you’re running away from Steve. I actually did that on my first time playing out of random luck now that I remember. I was freaking out cuz I realized I had just ran towards him but it ended up turning out just fine.

Always will be better to have an infinite weapon than infinite herbs. The herbs you can pick it up by dozens the ammo more limited (also not picking ammo gives u better RNG and easy bosses) btw, I didnt know u can get two bowguns Da F...

Infinite explosive bow guns
hey bro could you please give me a small help? My Code Veronica X on Gamecube is set to 16:9 although Claire is a little bit fat if you know what I mean, kinda stretched up, what should I do to fix it, other than 4:3 because I won't play it like that, coz your game is awesome on 16:9 or 16:10 IDK.

William Evans I was wondering about this as well, because It's impossible to put the crossbow in an item box right after the Nesferatu fight, in order for Chris to obtain it when you play his character.

This guy should explain why he exits from the bathroom in the residence instead of exiting the "Save Steve" hallway at 10:07 to 10:15 He opens a brown door and exits from a blue one.

If you're on this video I assume you speedrun it, at least casually. The brown door he entered and blue one he exited are 100% one and the same. I couldn't tell ya why the Devs made it different colors, but that blue door no doubt leads to that hallway lol. Sorry to burst your jump-to-conclusions bubble man :/
Yes, it was my mistake, I watched the video again and I figured it was because of the cutscene with Alfred. I forgot. The main doubt I have now is how he uses the bowgun both with Nosferatu and with Chris.

Claudio Zúñiga Gamarra because...hes at world record pace. he knows that but when RNG screws you over or when random things happen that dont usually happens, its annoying. thats why hes constantly sighing with stress. a good start but when things go south...you bet its stressful. who wouldnt be?
if he gets grabbed once, or gets stuck in a corner for about 2 seconds, he will most likely reset the run due to his PB being at very fast world record pase, that's why he is "stressed" because any tiny mistake, And i mean "TINY" can cause a huge problem and a reset to a run
And to finish, because its not only about remember wherer enemies are, dodge them, remember the route and the itens, not only about skill..
Theres is the crazy RANDOMIC Events (RNG) that can screw your run no matter what you do so theres LUCKY factor in every world record too.
I was watching a guy do the 6 Super Mario Games (SMB, The lost Level, SMB2, SMB3, Super MArio World, and Mario 64) all in 60 minutes. His HR got over 150.

As always a good run to watch, and Ahhh the true resident evil 3 lol (before all of you throw pitch forks at me I’m not joking nemesis was supposed to be the spin-off instead of a numbered title Veronica was supposed to be the true res3 but we all know how that went . 😪 ) p.s give the game a try it’s very true to the original res horror (as the trilogy should be ) and has more then 12 hours of play time which is almost double of res 2 it’s a very good and fun game try it out ! You won’t regret it

HAYABUS41 It's not an edit, that's where the game places you when entering the hall after saving steve, it just looks like he exited from the wrong spot due to skiping the cutscene with alfred that triggers in the hall.

Idk ab this run something seems off about it...emulator or something dialed up a hair on and running... either way I don’t think he should be the one giving the run the OK on sr.com another mod should view and verify that.

If Claire has the crossbow while fighting Nosferatu, how come does Chris also has it when fighting the Gravedigger (huge worm) Are there 2 crossbows?
It can be complicated to understand, but when he used the Playing Manual glitch, he was equipped with the Bowgun with explosive bolts loaded, but, due to the glitch, he became "equipped" with normal Bowgun bolts, as you can see whenever he enters the menu, but he is still able to use the Bowgun with explosive bolts in the overworld. Doing that glitch allows you to stash the actual weapon in the Item Box while still using it.
He cheated, while his run was impressive he earns my disrespect by claiming the world record by glitching. Professional gamers would consider that griefing

MAViiiN its Japanese version so they added dodging if your timing is correct you will dodge them..also I found it a bit easier..and everyone that doing speed runs they are playing this version of game...

John Rhodes Late reply but you can. You have to wiggle the d pad and mash right as you get grabbed. This is a function in all versions of Code Veronica X
Those dodges are universal lines that speedruners take for this game, this game has a unique zombie dodging, the hitbox for the grab is around the tip of the zombies arms, in other words, the closer you get to a zombie, the safer you are until you're not, it takes practice and sometimes courage (I **** u not) to pull them off, but onece you nail the timing you're good 2 go, also there are strats that just work (like when he used the second indigo plate thing, notice how he opens the menu and closes it at the right time and then runs fwd) in any case this guy's obviously very good, also I've seen speedruners use that strat you mentioned (use emulators and create save states in hard places)

This is a glitched speedrun. He's using a glitch that makes him able to use regular arrows as explosive arrows.
Does the glitch also multiplies the bowgun? Cause he defeats Nosferatu with the bow and also Chris is using it immediately.
@@HAYABUS418 months later but... the glitch allows you to equip the arrows as the bowgun, thats why he can put the weapon inside the item box for Chris to use

I'm pretty sure he was using explosive arrows just spammed it until the tyrant was at the end then pushed the button real quickly that's by the wall

I tried continuously shooting the bow at the tyrant on the plane and then.pressing for the cargo but he didn't go off :p
You have to use the explosive arrows, around 25 of them will weaken him. Don't bother with the standard arrows, they are horrible.

This is the Japanese release (look at the subtitles). Speedrunners prefer it because of slightly faster text skip speeds. The North American release for some reason doesn't have the S-rank. Thus, an S-rank in Japan is equivalent to a North American A-rank, and an A-rank in Japan is equivalent to a North American B-rank.
You don’t have to even on the American version, it’s optional.

If you count the seconds it takes doors to open, and compare it on average with the seconds he runs through corridors, etc, they're about even most of the time, so minus doors the run is like 45 minutes 😂😂😂
