Please don't forget that you can create separate security for staff only, because right now they're all trying to access the secure zone all via normal passenger security. You can just toggle a normal security scanner to be staff only.
I thought baggage security to be a little different than how you set it up. As I understood it, if the initial scanner finds fault, that’s when you should go to tier 2 security check. If fault at tier 2, then go to tier 3 for validation. Basically, tier 1 simply says, double-check this, but if it’s good, you can skip the rest of tier 2&3 and go straight out of the security area. Either way, good stuff!
@@usboneman663if you look at the security rating thingy, it does state that your security rating will go down if you send approved Tier I baggage through Tier II. I agree with the first comment here in this case..
The way this game does IFE's (In Flight Emergencies) makes no sense. You shouldn't need to send away a flight to make room for the IFE. Typically there is a area designated for IFE's. For instance; if an aircraft has hot brakes there area designated for hot brakes. I don't know enough about Airport CEO to know if there way to set up an area like that would work that way. But maybe if you set up a parking spot, near the maintenance hanger, that can be left turned off until you need it? It really seems like that IFE mechanic needs to be improved. Any aircraft experiencing an IFE would be given priority, other aircraft would be directed to stay in the pattern, clear the runway, etc. If it's a particularly bad scenario, say engine fire, landing gear failure, the aircraft would just stop with emergency vehicles responding to address the issue and evacuate passengers. I feel its' something the devs need to update or change.
Yeah I've never realy liked how the game handled emergencies either. I don't remember if it was in this episode or the next, but I think at some point I float the idea of doing exactly what you suggested - setting up a stand somewhere specifically for emergencies, and then moving the various hangars out that way too. It'd be interesting to see if I still need all of the different remote stand connections to actually make it work, but it'd be better than having to always cancel a flight for sure.
@@ConflictNerd what i like to do is have a remote stand with autoplanner off and just have it on standby allowing any emergency flight to just land there
I know you don't like to pause the game but I would suggest doing so for a brief moment to make sure that all your vehicles are set to the stands you want. I noticed that you put a large vehicle on a medium one during the game and then placed it on a small stand after.
Episode two of: THE FAR RIGHT SMALL HELICOPTER REMOTE STAND IS STILL NOT FULLY CONNECTED AND NOT FUNCTIONAL!! let's see how long it takes him to realize...place your bets!!
I'm certain I've seen someone do this before, although I think they were still manually scheduling flights at that point instead of using the autoplanner. They just left one ramp empty of flights with a hangar attached and had their own emergency stand.
I thought that Belfast City Airport, which has 10X the traffic of ATL, had hourly departures of Airwolf. As you walk in this top-notch airport, you will hear the Airwolf theme song 24/7.
I'm enjoying this series again. How do you keep your staff happy? I can only manage around 65% for staff happiness and have a few staff areas and bathrooms.
there is a way to make certain stands that you can use only for emergencies by going into the flight planer and clicking on the stand you want in the yellow bit and saying i dont the planer to plan flights on this stand but you will still need to meet the stands requirements or it will keep complaining.
@Conflictnerd if you connect a road directly to the road that's sticked to the stand it will still work, like I mean even if it doesn't look connected it still is
Your are a Panda and i have to say you play like a true Panda. Utterly chaotic but somehow it works. 😂😂😂 Wy not connect for example the left airport side to the left baggage bay and the right side to the right bay? Instead of sending it across the whole map… 😂😂

I’ve said this on like half of the videos and he ignores it haha have them go through the staff room lol
i was about to comment this exact same thing and then i saw your comment. I hope @ConflictNerd reads this one.

I thought tier 3 was the last chance to find something before heading to the plane.

I do enjoy the longer videos. It looks like an airport redesign is coming soon. Can't wait!

Casually built an aircraft stand next to an active runway approach is also how I'm gonna do it.
Oh the poor airlines crying out for more check-in desks!
You can disable auto planner for a particular stand to reserve it for emergencies

Love your content! Discovered you via Software inc and decided to join you on this... flight as well
Is it possible to have an extra medium aircraft stand that you can turn on when needed?
Keep them coming Dylan! :D

bold move handind a two direction taxi way for 6 stands
can connect a road to the side of the stands it wil work as a intersection but graphics dont change on the stand

Don’t forget you need to scan the bags coming in too!
Can you please expand check in because there isn't enough space
Could have just rotated the 6th medium stand so it was facing the runway and you wouldn't have had to move any roads or anything
im starting to regret putting my airport on pillars
Is it possible to set up a stand to accept emergency landings only?
