I gotta, tellya....I enjoy SO much your reviews more than all the other TH-cam reviewers! Your biting wit and sarcastic tone makes me keep coming back! Can't wait to see your review on "War of the Rohirrum"!!
@@newhavencon-py5yyI never got that impression with Madame Web. With that movie, the plot at least made sense from one scene to the next. The worst aspect of it was probably the villain for being cartoonishly underdeveloped. “No, we could help so many people.” “I’m not interested in helping people. No one helped me when my family was starving.” Kraven’s the best out of the three for having characters whose motivations make sense, and their backgrounds are properly defined.
@@whichcache2517 I mean, yeah, the villain a huge reason the movie is so bad. His ADR is soooo bad. But I think the plot makes like no sense, and the villain is a huge part of it. Like what is he even trying to accomplish? Why does he need to be stopped? I don't understand why they're even fighting besides that they're heroes and he's the bad guy. But there's more. They don't bond like at all, but suddenly they're bond is stronger than family. Why? The twist was all like, "it wasn't them who I saw in my vision, it was you!" How do you even make that mistake? How was he tracking the wrong people this whole time based on a vision? It's just a mess.
@ I don’t think that’s what happened, I think it was that, because he tried to alter fate so that they would die instead of him, the butterfly effect made it so that the main protagonist killed him much earlier. What his business is, and why they would even bother trying to kill him several years into the future, though, I have no idea. Regardless, Ezekiel Sims was a massive putz in this movie.
Kind of sounds like you had some fun with two of these movies, even if none of them are particularly good. Also I don't think I've ever heard of "The End", but it does sound like a slog fitting for the Snob. Also not a good sign when your post apocalyptic musical put a Theater Patron fell asleep. LOL
Look, this one was doomed from the start because Kraven is just supposed to be a straight up evil warlord supervillain in the comics (the Venom movies at least somewhat benefit from having a character who became more of an antihero over time in the comics).
Well Marvel was clearly good with Venom: The Last Dance. Knull was created in 2018 so they actually had to have approval from Marvel to use the character. IF anything King in Black would be a hell of alot better Marvel event than the god awful Kang/Multiverse shit they thought was a good idea
@@lutherheggs451have not watched any of the new marvel movies but seems they are trying to shove the complicated issues of multiverse and celestial marvel concepts into two hour action flicks with one note marvel villains
This year was really big for: t's also a musical. Mean Girls, Joker, this. The Willy Wonka film from the end of last year. Lots of it is also a musical film.
I can't believe you didn't mention Kraven opens with the same exact music Hunt for the Red October started with. It was so bizarre, like if a Captain America movie opened with the Mission Impossible theme.
I think Brad had an idea that might have saved the Kraven movie: violent Bollywood-style movie. Drop some characters, cut back the CGI, get that money to Ariana deBose, some back up dancers and a chorus. It would be different in the same way the first Venom was a buddy comedy/romance with one actor playing both partners.
At first I thought you were calling Kraven the Hunter, the man in the white van, after the urban legend. Then I realized it was a separate movie that had Manos Hands of Fate vibes to me for some reason.
This Kraven movie was doomed from the get-go, trying to reframe a guy who, in the comics, hunts endangered species and Spider-Man for sport as a hero. Even comics Venom got some character development up to "Anti-Hero" (depending on the writer and the Symbiote's host).
I remember jimmy kimmel saying something (multiple times) about him playing kraven. That might have been more entertaining (even if unintentionally). Good vid Brad!
Yeah Im sorry. The Sony Marvel Movies are a hell of alot better than ANYTHING that came out of the god awful Phase 4/Kang/Multiverse shit. IF Marvel had a brain they would be kissing Sony's ass so that they could do King in Black when EVERYONE in the Marvel Universe was infected with a symbiote. Maybe they actually figured that out since Eddie is now in NY and Marvel approved Sony using Knull
Kraven managed to waste Rhino, Chameleon AND (I won’t say his name but there’s a remake of a movie called: The Day Of The __. You can figure it out from there). I hated it.
Anything Sony Marvel has been more entertaining than most Post-Endgame MCU projects tbh. Something the haters don't want to accept 🗿. Kraven sounds fun, I look forward to watching it.
At least the post-Endgame Marvel projects, hit and miss though they've been, are coherent standalone projects. With the possible exception of Quantumania (and even that got rendered obsolete when they fired Jonathan Majors), they're not making feature-length commercials for other movies like Sony is. They also don't have Sony's disastrous track record with ADR or the desperation to put fanservice solely in the trailers to lure in suckers.
@@coolnerdlll6053 other way around as the Sony films don't build up to anything else and remain standalone as well, except for Venom 3 at the most. Research before you throw around blind hatred.
@@KuWota2k Uh, what about all the Spider-Man Easter eggs, the Parkers being shoved into Madame Web and the Morbius credits scene setting up a Sinister Six movie?
@@coolnerdlll6053 did the films revolve around those aspects as you kept implying? nope, they were very standalone. Only Madame Web really, but the rest don't build up to anything outside of their films, standalone experiences for fun. Honestly, I just thought that Kraven was like a Manimal film if Manimal didn't know how to transform. Like a darker gorier Manimal flick.

Today, we review "The End of Kraven the White Van!"
Kraven steals the white van when the kray van breaks down
I loved that show as a kid. Although I still prefer Budgie the Little Helicopter.
I can't hate this it so ridiculous, violent, chessy and over the top but it delivers so much craziness its entertaining.
I saw Madame Web today for the first Time and... Let just say It's good that Kraven is in every way better.
I know. Of the 3 films, Madame Web is definitely the worst. Morbius is bad, but Madame Web doesn't even feel like it was made by real film makers.

That’s the thing about Kraven The Hunter. Every character was a villain. It was just survival of the fittest.
