As an Aussie, I'm pretty sure I've never used rhyming slang or heard many others using it either. It's kinda weird. But I can't get enough of this series! Haven't stopped laughing!
For crying out loud people, this is not an educational video. This is a satirical comedy series clearly based on an exaggerated image of what Australians are known for. Apparently satire goes over the head of a surprisingly large number of Australians. Hell, they're taking the piss out of the things we Australians constantly brag about - our creative language, our love of meat etc. It's also written and produced by Australians, just FYI. Ironically, most of the people crying out "racist" would probably be perfectly fine with it if all the actors were white Australians making fun of Australians, but the Indian actors with their Indian accents clearly rattle a few casually (or full time) racist cages.
Well what can I say... we deserved this one & all the rest of them. What a pisser!! At least we can laugh at ourselves & cop it on the chin. These vids are so funny I nearly spat my false teeth out.
