- The NSX GT3 has been designed by Honda R&D in Japan in collaboration with JAS Motorsport, an Italian racing team and company which have developed, built and raced cars in various different disciplines for the Japanese manufacturer since 1998. It was unveiled in mid 2017 in order to be fielded by private teams in the various championships around the World from the 2018 seasons.
In 2019 an 'Evo' kit was released, adding new splitters and rear diffusers in order to reduce drag and improve cooling, new turbos for the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 to sharpen throttle response, improved ABS and an upgraded Bosch data-logger.

@@RiasGremoryS54 That NSX GT3 is sure very fast ! That V6 redline is awesome ! It's a shame that with the regulation, the sound outside is not so loud. But to have attended a real FIA race, this V6 is really deep, your whole body is shaking, even more than that of Porsche and the Ferrari V8 in the 488 GT3 Evo

You’d get more people looking at this car than any other super car out there.
Italians: 10 minute meticulous engine warmup
Honda: wheels on, drop it down, start it up and go. Just like moms accord. Unreal. They’re never the craziest factory cars but holy cow they just make it look simple.
This was essentially developed by Italians
The new nsx shares a ton of parts with civic and other lower end cars, it also the most reliable supercar ever made

Honda could endure 10 years usage just by doing regular fluid changes.

very successful car too! IMSA GTD champion in 2019/2020 and Super GT GT300 champion a couple years back, basically america and Japan's top GT3 categories

The secret of this car's performance is in the rear suspension, that diffuser stalls if you don't keep the rear in check, but if you keep the rear in check you lose front aero balance, but the diffuser gives more downforce, so you have to trim the rear wing to regain the balance. Which means you have to have a rock hard rear suspension.

Funny thing is the engine is not equipped with VTEC. The GT3 is a boosted Cosworth block & heads. The street car adds the electrics that fills-in turbo lag, and employs a 9spd DCT. The street car is heavier by a few hundred pound ms once you add the batteries, electric motors & AWD. Even so, The street car launches quicker than the GT3 version.

Of course, it's a GT3 car. As fast as the AMG GT3 Evo, Huracan GT3 Evo, GT-R Nismo GT3 (2018+), RCF GT3, Porsche GT3-R (wich is a car lightyear faster than a GT2RS MR) and so on...

ignition cut while changing gears but still giving the engine petrol which will ignite/"explode" in the exhaust manifold

I have a 3.5L ford twin turbo but I wish my truck sounded like this . I Live 45 minutes from Watkins Glen international racetrack. Nothing went on here last year here do to the virus, I miss the sights and sounds and smell of the cars on the track .
Irregardless of the virus have they stopped racing NASCAR there? I'm certain NASCAR has cut locations from their schedule (despite virus) but was unsure which, I guess also it's not something they want to vigorously broadcast.

Michelins. Increase the quality of the video to 720p and stop at 0:19. You can see the faint logos.
it depends on the racing series it runs in. World challenge it will run pirellis, in america it runs michelins in IMSA. And in japan (super GT) it runs whatever tyre the team it runs has ( a choice of bridgestone, yokohama, michelin, dunlop) since that championship has a tire war actually

Where could we find more specs ?
The road car has a split-pin crankshaft but I doubt it would last long enough in a race car. Also the road car has a 9 speed DCT but this one likely has a 6 speed. I can't imagine the amount of weight they lost just by ditching the electric motors and batteries.

@Giuseppe C, The electrics however “pull their own weight & earn their keep.” An added 73 hp of electrics w 100% torque @ 0 rpm that also fills-in during turbo lag is worth a lot. The street version and with the DIY, JB4 kit / exhaust mods for 700 hp that’s good for 0-60 in 2.6 would absolutely demolish the GT3 car from a dig or a roll. Yes, different designs for different roles.

Evo, anything after 2018 would be the evo. You can tell by the revised rear

Can you guys explain me why turbo engine have less noise than NA?
turbos are usually connected to exhaust manifolds and use gasses to help spin them. Part of the forced inductino process kinda mutes engines. Keep in mind sound is technically wasted energy

It's a winner more so in America than Europe or Asia. Best car fielded in both IMSA up until end of 2020, and winner of it's class in GTWC America in 2019. We don't count 2020 for that event though cause there was no competition.

They are pretty much the same thing u can call it either one. acura and honda share identical parts acura is just more luxurious then honda
Honda`s first made NSX was iconic... and this new one, very wicked looking Racetool, with a very bully sounding V-6, is a good succsessor in this modern age of motorsports - so typically HONDA: All or Nothing !!!
