Fabulous arrangement. Something tells me this collaboration was the intention...after Freddie showed them how the mellow beginning would give power to Roger's strong, raspy tone and Brian riff followed. Love this. I bet it would've been a best selling single. Really neat.

First time hearing it this is great 😊 I can imagine the arguments between Roger and Freddie 😂

Roger's vocals are great on this. Rocks even better live. It opened the show along with Flash in the '82 show I attended. Generally forgotten song on a great album. Pretty typical Taylor rocker. The full name of the song is Rock It (Prime Jive). Cheers!

    Wow.... thanks you both!!
    It’s amazing song...,
Love Freddie’s voice at the beginning
..., and Roger’s voice is “superbe”
“It is said that the theme generated some disputes in the band and two versions of "Rock It" were recorded, one sung by Freddie and the other by Roger. And the discussion fell on which of the two versions would finally go on the album. Brian and Mack were inclined to the version played by Freddie, while Roger and John preferred Roger's. In the end, the decision was made that the intro would be sung by Freddie and the rest of the song by Roger.”

I’m looking back, and I don’t think you have reacted to a song I’m sure you know, but have to watch the live at Wembley ‘86 for sure. “Who Wants to Live Forever” written by Brian for Highlander, and sung so powerfully by Freddie. Brian starts out on keyboards and moves to the Red Special and Freddie just belts it out better than ever.

Thanks for bringing out the less known Queen songs also, not many do it. And, while you’re in this ”deep cuts” stroll, please check out ”I Go Crazy” too. Nice little fast song, a bit tonque-in-cheek lyrics, Queen style in quess... ;)

This was a treat - a new Queen song for me. It did sound like 2 separate pieces of music glued together, one with Freddie and one with Roger. I'd have voted with Brian to have Freddie sing the entire song, though.

I would have loved to hear Freddy Mercury do the whole song. I think that it would have been more **special. Enjoyable song though. Great channel! Good luck! I continue watching especially since I am a huge Queen fan

This was pretty good, but I made a list of 16 Queen or Freddie Mercury songs (that were hits) you haven't reacted to. Plus there are a lot of tracks you could do again, just a different performance. For instance if you did a live, do the official video. I could give you a list. How about 2 or 3 at a time.

Basically it sounds like a song more like Roger's first album Fun in Pace then a true Queen song.

Roger is more rock'n'roll, Brian is at the same time heavier and softer, Deacon was the most dancing and Freddie was all that and many other things. Another suggestion: Queen "You and I" (John Deacon). th-cam.com/video/ir05RhMqpPI/w-d-xo.html
