I'm Pascal a Dutch independent game developer since 2004 known as Orangepixel. I created various games including Residual, the Gunslugs series, Heroes of Loot series, Space Grunts series, Stardash and the Meganoid series released on PC, mobile and various consoles.
Will pick the game up next week! On the struggle for wishlists, all the games are fighting hard for consumers attention so its not easy for sure. Hope the release goes well!

hello i love all of your work! could you please share how many wishlists do you usually have before launch ? i'm really interested how it differed with different genres you launched - like for example you had this terraria looking game with crafting - did it have more wishlists and more interest than more platforme'y games ? according to vginsights your numers are extremely low, and i dont quite understand that as they seem very good and deep, genre is often popular (crafting, even rouge like card game) - it seems like pixel art graphics are a terrible choice or is it something else ?

How much does it make sense to do marketing pushes for your older games on platforms like Switch? I feel like new gamers are delving into the indie space every day (my kids, for example) and I've always wondered about this aspect of marketing "legacy" games. Pardon me if you've already answered this in another video, I haven't been a subscriber for super long
By the way I always buy everything on my wishlist and both Gauntlet of Power and Regulator City are both on my wishlist :)
I see discounts and sales as a way to promote those games. And when ever I change something small I'll put out social media posts and info. I think it's still worth doing it, but I probably don't do it as much as I should, because there's always a new game I'm trying to push more 😅

there are always games launching :D but what I saw, there's nothing really big or something that will suck out all the air from Steam .. we'll have to see!

I blame ChromeOS for getting me into your games. I enjoy your stuff on Steam Deck these days! Had to buy Gauntlet day one.

Hope you will be on the "Gaming In The Wild" channel as he does a lot of indies and has reviews that are informative and opiniated. He's currently not as big as Splattercat, but he seems to have a journalistic background, so maybe he has the quality to make it big
